Yeah! So, you can keep doing it over and over again!
There is a few technical gray areas though.
I think they should tel u what was flagged. Other than that it is working fine. If something offends someone they should have the right to flag it. I have been forum banned a few times and I look back and realise it was wrong of me to post those things.
No they aren’t.
You can be forum silenced and still chat normally in game.
Not sure if a game silence affects your forum status though.
Judging by the number of rage threads posted here after someone was silenced in game… I’d say it doesn’t.
Delicious butter chicken recipe eh?
Is it an actual good recipe you enjoy? or just a random one for entertainment? as if its the former I’d love to see it
Don’t feel bad. Everyone gets flagged.
You’re too cute to be flagged!
Dawwww… You’re just a peach.
You always say a lot to say nothing. It’s like your talent.
no, they shouldn’t.
they should put the player on ignore, and move on with their life.
the flagging options need to be re-categorized, and focused around the CoC… just as they previously were.
i’m not sure why anyone would think “i’m offended” is a reason to try and silence someone.
this is a discussion board.
people are going to have differing opinions.
that’s fine.
people are going to be offended by those differing opinions.
that’s fine too.
but having the option to silence people for those opinions because it offends you?
…not cool.
no people should speak out. ignoring and moving on is basically equivalent of watching someone get bullied and do nothing about it
it is upto blizz to decide what is considered offensive on their platform
and here lies the problem.
being offended, is not even remotely similar to being bullied.
in fact, i’m offended that you would even suggest this.
see how that works?
just because someone finds your opinion offensive, doesn’t mean they’re being attacked.
i don’t feel attacked because you don’t share my opinion.
i can either attempt to discuss it with you, or walk away.
i don’t NEED to engage if i’m offended.
you don’t need to be TRYING to offend someone, in order to offend them.
correct.
which is exactly why it shouldn’t be left up to the discretion of players.
blizz have already outlined what is and isn’t acceptable in the CoC.
since the current flagging system has existed, people flag out of spite.
the wording on the flagging options needs to be changed.
If you are offended you should flag my post. its ur right to flag me. and Blizz can decide. But blizz needs to know if people are unhappy with something.
If it’s blatantly obvious false flagging then sure I can agree with that. If it’s “I can sorta see how this dances on the line of the rules” is it really false flagging then?
I know which thread recently got you mass flagged. Same thread I posted in… and they did the same thing. Mine got restored and I’m not sure about yours… but it was the Worgen tail’s thread right?
That one gets my posts flagged all the time, and it’s always false flagged.
Yeah, that… cult… is bad. Before I was indifferent to the tail discussion. Now I just don’t want to see them get their way… not a fan of rewarding bad behavior.
Thankfully they won’t get it regardless of how much they complain. Not only is it against the lore, but all the reasonings they provide are incredibly invalid.
no, i shouldn’t.
this is a discussion forum.
it’s ok to be offended.
it doesn’t hurt anyone.
even the suggestion that i should report your post is offensive within itself.
you didn’t do anything which was against the CoC, so why would i report it?
it’s not appropriate for me to waste the time of mods, when the post doesn’t break any rules, and i can simply choose to not see it.
nope.
that’s why they’ve given me the ability to ignore you.
i can use the correct tools for the appropriate actions.
flagging your post because it offends me, is inappropriate.
again, the wording used for flagging posts… needs changing.
I don’t know what’s more humorous:
- The fact that this post itself was flagged …
or
- That the first person to reply was named ‘Nobully’
