Oh, I absolutely agree that it was wrong not to give you notice. That was wrong and unethical. We got weeks to months of notice for several things, this should have been no different.

The difference from low level to max level is that at max level, there is no more leveling to do. You’re done (until the next expansion). Those at lower levels are rerolling or just starting. They’re getting the hang of their rotations and abilities. They’re questing around, getting whatever gear happens to fall in their laps. Some servers have very crappy economies where even low level gear is inflated to a non-feasible level.

Availability and feasibility are very commonly mistaken for each other.

That’s why I would even be perfectly fine with templates with the slider bar as mentioned yesterday. That’s another win/win situation.

But to answer, it’s the norm. All Blizzard did were remove the problematic outliers of the right-skewed data.

Comparing mythics to BGs is a little silly. Are there 4 tiers of BGs people can choose from before queuing?

EDIT: Just checked, no LFBG, Normal, Heroic or Mythic BGs. Too bad, would be a cool idea.

Gearing while leveling up a toon is far different than gearing up a max level toon for a mythic raid. That’s comparing apples to Chevrolet. You can go into a BG in average gear and be useful. You may not be as scale-tilting as a twink but those were the right-skewed outliers and they’ve been placed with other outliers.

Maybe there should. Make a suggestion to Blizzard. But know this, if it happens, I would bet a dollar that the minimum would allow green gear as that’s the norm for leveling up.

It’s basically a win/win for everyone. We’ll see if queue times are like they were last time they were split. Mine went from an average of 15 to 8 minutes because people got wind and were more inclined to queue.
