“Little Lies” - Fleetwood Mac always comes to mind during the Q&A’s
Yep, Definitely made me cringe that’s for sure.
I plan to level from 118-120 in dungeons only how long will this take me I cant stomach questing anymore in Kul tiras already done it 2 times before already.
Dungeons are funner cuz I feel like a god getting to decide who lives and who dies.
Eeeesh. Hopefully they all live right? right……?
Mostly I do let idiots die of course or those who choose to stray to far or mass pull and wipe group tank was once idiot and mass pulled right after first boss he got cocky… I did not bother to heal him and let him died…
Luckily I managed to avoid dying… by leaving dungeon and then coming back…
Group ended up siding with me even thought tank blamed me and we kicked him and got a smarter tank afterwards who did not chain pull everything.
Haha you lot are the scary type of healers, the ones that leave me in a constant state of paranoia against doing something wrong
Brb rolling a class that can self heal in case I stand in fire
XP gain in your levels will be fine.
The problem everyone is complaining about in this thread is Power Leveling that was allowed for 13 years and suddenly back in patch 7.3.5 they sneaked it in and nerfed it in the bud and so now when a higher level runs lower levels through dungeons the XP gain has been dropped to almost nothing.
A Blizzard Moderator started the thread back in Feb of this year admitting to a “BUG” as they stated but we just found out from a Community Manager just recently that it was intentional; You can view the link a few comments above on this page.
What gets all of us that have been fighting this is that it was allowed for 13 years and suddenly it’s not; Now most of the ones from this forum have moved on to other games because of this.
Funny that Multiboxing is allowed because the player is paying for multiple accounts but power leveling is not.
Maybe it’s to get $60.00 from players to pay for a boost that don’t want to level or may also it’s so they can earn extra money off subscribers by making it take longer to level thus earning more subscription time from the player.
This is why I prefer playing my Blood DK lol, I don’t have to rely on healers.
I still believe it has more to do with their new allied race gimmick. Cash shop boost idk? If they were that concerned about folks leveling up a allied race to quickly for the heritage armor, then they should of made the heritage armor it’s own unique questline(like the artifact weapon ones) to unlock it instead of gating it behind leveling. Even if they did shave 20 levels off, it is still mind numbingly boring for the people who have already leveled through these copy pasted quests over, and over through the years. But yes power leveling has been a thing for a lot longer than it hasn’t that’s for sure. Check out the vids on the internet, and it’s there. A lot of those videos have upload dates as far back as 2007 up to right before 7.3.5 went live.
I believe that too about it being for their new allied race gimmick; I myself hardly even visited the forums in the 13 years I’ve been playing until I pre-purchased BFA early on and had the requirements met to start leveling a Void Elf Warlock and it was then that I found out about the XP nerf and I’ve been a voice on the forums ever since.
I honestly believe they knew players would be wanting to level these new races and intentionally slowed down the speed we could level so that they could earn more in subscription time and for the ones that didn’t care to level could just pay for a boost for $60.00.
What gets me is they slid it in with patch 7.3.5 and nothing was said about it being intentional until here recently when a Community Manager admitted to it which can be viewed here:
So as you can see all the way from Feb when this thread “XP FROM DUNGEONS” started by a Community Manager from Blizzard themselves asking for feedback from us players until November 29 2018 no one from Blizzard commented about the “XP” loss we were complaining about when a high level ran lower levels through dungeons “Power Leveling” which had been going on for 13+ years, It took them this long and over 4600 post in this thread before they admitted to us that it was indeed intentional.
Oh also just so everyone knows there were a whole lot more views and likes on this forum before the new forums started, The likes and views just weren’t carried over to the new forums.

[/quote] Noticed that when this thread moved over here. You can still read this thread, and see all the likes just about every post had though on the old forum. My guess is that they were hoping this topic would die when the new forums started lol.
Yep because I believe they have no intent of ever reversing the power leveling which is another reason many have left that posted in this forum. I remember some in our guild (Back when guilds were really a necessity if you wanted to really advance up high) that would power level characters and then decide to delete them and power level another one just to test them out.
Those days are long gone now I’m afraid just as I will be when my sub on this account expires on 03-19-2019; My other account expired back in September which I would log in to both accounts and power level myself but I guess Blizzard doesn’t think that justifies reverting and allowing power leveling in dungeons.
Strange though a player can have as many accounts as he wants when they want to play multiboxing.
Believe you are correct. They doubled down on power leveling. Even though knew it was something a lot of folks have done for a very long time. Still also believe that a 90% nerf to it was overkill imo. And the big nerf to raf was also overkill. Just my opinion, but seriously its a flippin videogame. As long as people are paying them to play, who gives a flock how people level their cartoons? I never cared if folks did it. It in no way affected how I play, or played ever. I find it hilarious that power leveling in a irrelevant videogame is treated like it some sort of criminal offense lol. As for boxing, I did it some back in mop, and wod. That other account has been dead for close to 2 years now though.
Yeah it’s sad to see the game going in this direction, I just got through deleting 46 of my characters on this last live account; I have 4 left that can’t be deleted because their mailboxes are loaded down. As a matter of fact I deleted this very toon “Dumbeldorf” however it still allows me to post on the forums with him and when I went to change characters it still shows them all; Maybe it just takes the system a while to catch up. Some that I deleted were loaded in gold and had guilds with vaults of 7 tabs but the system let me delete them.
I’m done with this game and their dictatorship way of running it by cramming these changes down our throats.
The way I read that post makes it sound like the scaling caused mobs to reward xp based on the level of the max level player which would be OP af and I as an armchair dev would remove the ability to powerlevel that way as well.
They can still go see it if they want to https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20761996118?page=232
I agree xp from dungeons seems low, but with heirlooms, full rested xp and patch 8.1 changes I won’t mind them
Cool story. You did it during a time when that was absolutely the slowest and worst way to level a character! Especially during WoD!
Like really, why would you have done that during WoD when instead you could have done it how every intelligent person did it by using the boosts for Gorgrond bonus objectives and leveled the entire way in 2 hours?
Everything you typed shows you have absolutely NO idea, are completely clueless, and have no validity in this thread. Keep using that smug attitude while you do things slow and retort unintelligibly while you show that you’re into wasting your time as well as the others that were dumb enough to carry you.
Tried running a guildie through SM last night with this toon. He has a level 46 high mtn tauren allied race. Figured being under level 100 might make a difference. But ya he was getting like 20xp per mob. Ended up just hearthing back to org lol.
Can confirm still broken.
It’s not broken; It was intentionally nerfed by Blizzard; Thing is we had been complaining about this since patch 7.3.5 was originally implemented and confirmed by Blizzard when this thread first started back in Feb of this year 2018.
However it was not announced until here recently that the developers at Blizzard according to the community manager said they could not figure out a way to stop power leveling without having to rebuild the entire game system so when they were in the process of implementing the scaling they figured out how to do it and changed it during patch 7.3.5.
You can view the Community Managers reply in the link below:
Funny though we had been power leveling for 13+ years and it took them that long to put a stop to Power Leveling; I personally think it was a move to make leveling take longer thus increasing profits in subscription fees and for the players that didn’t want to take the time to level could simply pay $60.00 for a boost which would increase profits for Blizzard; So either way it’s a win for Blizzard in improving revenue; Problem is many have left the game due to this change as a lot of the community that had been allowed to Power Level for all these years suddenly had it taken away without anything in the patch notes or anything.
It’s sad to have something that was allowed for all these years taken away and no communication on it as to why or anything for 10 months; Guess this along with a lot of other things that have been taken away is why the guilds and friends list are now empty; #FEELSBADMAN.
