XP From Dungeons

You have a good point. You might be right but I pray that you are wrong!

Something that is not being mentioned at all. NEW HEIRLOOMS! This is huge. More heirlooms = added strength + even larger reduction in xp needed to level.

If they keep these positive changes... 8.1 might be the end of the nightmare. I am trembling with excitement over the idea of having more heirlooms to make a godly Level 1 alt. Finally, some good news for BFA!

Pretty much this. Going to wait until the patch is out for a week, or two before messing with alts. That will give the devs some time to call something else folks have been doing for 10 years or longer a bug, and nerf the hell out of it lol.

With the way Blizz has treated us in the past year, everything we say or point out falling on deaf ears, I'm in no way saying we have won anything. We have fought hard for it but knowing how blizz hates losing it will be like pathfinder and flying in WOD!! They have about turned me against the company as a whole. To many bad design changes put in the game GCD and pruning is a big one for me. I think its a start but they need to realize just the leveling change wont help!!

Yes they sure have just like this thread when it started Blizzard had implemented the "BUG" as they so called it but as it turned out it was all their "Cloak And Dagger" methods we have been getting shoved down our throats for a long while now.

All the players can do is hope this corrects the issues with dungeons as well which is what this thread all started about in the first place by a CM (BLUE) himself.

We won.

"Experience required to level from 20 to 120 has been reduced in the latest 8.1 PTR build.
The biggest reductions come in the level 60 range at 40%, with sizable reductions for all past expansions.
Also datamined in Patch 8.1 are the leveling elixir Draught of Ten Lands and new heirlooms like a tank cloak."

https://www.wowhead.com/news=288495/experience-required-to-level-reduced-in-8-1-ptr-build-28366

Hardly a win. During the leveling experience for the most part you will gain no more than a few meager percent.

If you saw what happened at Blizzcon and heard the follow-up interviews than you know:

"Our best devs are assigned to mobile"

This explains the declining quality of WoW over the last five years and why 6 years after release, D3 has no new PC installment -- it's been prostituted to China.

Starcraft is dead
HoTS failed
Heartstone is a cash cow
OW is Blizzard's "esports" entry.

What are they doing for us PC gamers? Nothing. Blizzard is leaving us for China, a more lucrative market for which cheap crapware with mtx unlocks is king. Maybe they'll harpoon a few.

You may have won the battle but you've still lost the war. What about putting heirlooms back to the way they were before 7.3.5? What about putting dungeon experience back, and what about doing something for levels 1-60? Huh? They threw you a bone, a tiny little rat bone at that.

Are you kidding me? Some areas of the game (BC and Wrath) we are getting a 40% increase, and some areas that are already easy (Cata/Panda) are getting a 25% increase.

You have to be absolutely insane to think it's a "meager percent".

If you look at the data table, most areas are getting a meager percent. Only certain level blocks will benefit from the full 40%. And levels 10-39 are getting an XP cap increase. So net, not much change.

Blizzard is now soliciting feedback from players who have quit. Apparently the company is sending emails to past players asking them for their opinions of BfA.

New president may have something to do with it.

I understand 8.1 will bring back vendors and other means by which to get gear.

Hopefully someone higher up than the devs will look at this steaming pile of B.S. claim about power leveling and fix that too.

We can only hope; All I know is somethings gotta give, This game just has lost the magic addictive feeling it once had; At least for me anyway.

Agreed. I was a very happy addict until WoD, when Ion stepped in and it all started going to $h!t.

Dude seriously.

You can't nerf something, then bring it back, and think "its an improvement".

They tried the same non-sense with mob hp. Buffed it to 300% more, then "nerfed" it down to 20% more and called it "fixed".

Just reminds me of those looney toons where they just keep playing games handing you money and you handing them back change, until in the end the character is duped and ends up with nothing in his hands.

With this buff everything regarding to leveling will be an improvement. Sorry some of us hated the mindless 2 button mash that was leveling before the changes.

I am not spewing anything but you are arguing with basic math.

There is an increase in cap till level 40, and then the xp cap is gradually reduced. That's hardly "the entire spectrum". At level 60. the reduction peaks, then drops off again. And if you think a +/- 20% reduction will compensate for the changes made by 7.35 which included not only substantially raised XP caps, but lowered XP rewards as well, plus a nerf to heirlooms, you are just kidding yourself. It's a drop in the bucket.

You're going to have to be more specific here son, what on earth are you talking about? Are you implying something from a patch previous to BFA?

Because it's really simple, everything (especially past lvl 40) will be reduced, as in LEVELS WILL BE EASIER TO GAIN COMPARED TO LIVE ON 8.1! It couldn't be more clear.

Are you referring to levels post World scaling? If so your argument is still flawed considering we don't have to CONSTANTLY move ourselves from one zone to the next, there are more variables than simply "mah XP gain".

No pictures needed but less snarky attitude would be appreciated. I'm entitled to my options just like you.
Anything short of reverting everything including Heirlooms back to pre 7.3.5 is just another very weak attempt at an appearance they are making things better when in reality, they are not doing anything worthwhile.
