Ret needed nerfed, and honestly still does. Extremely simple rotations with very high output isn’t healthy for the game. Why bother learning any other class if you can just nuke everything with minimal effort? That’s not to say every class should require 300 IQ to play, but at least make the players have to actually TRY. Ret doesn’t have to try for damage at all lol, it’s braindead.
Instrument of Retribution*
A passive “flavor” ability that grants Avenging Wrath for 9 second on death of someone in group/raid.
When a new raid comes out, people are unfamiliar with mechanics and tend to die more, inflating Ret DPS numbers through higher uptime of our main CD.

Not really from what we can see, we’re at a healthy spot FOR THE MOMENT.
It’s not a PVP game, no one cares what other classes do.
PVP has it’s own balance and they are sub-par in there anyway.
Not how I choose what to play personally nor do I know anyone for which this is the sole criteria on which they decide what to play.

There’s not a gap of difficulty between 2 spec in this game that would alone push someone to change spec because of it.
There are physical reasons to switch , such as Fury APM which can genuinely be hurtful to some people and cripple the amount of time they can play, but that’s about the only one that gets anywhere close to what you’re talking about.
Don’t pretend like this game takes any skills to play, the closest thing we get to skill shot that requires hand-eye coordination are targeted ground reticle and even those can be macroed.
It takes practices to press your buttons in the right order and knowledge of what to prioritize when multiple things are available.
It’s not a freaking skateboard competition or gymnastics, we’re all sitting on our @sses pushing buttons on a keyboard, get down from your high horse.

Well more tuning classes incoming a lot of classes getting buff but no ret, ret is fine being the worst spec in game for pvp right now.

Imagine not knowing a large margin of players are meta chasers. Hence why we see tons of pallies right now.
Macros exist, and the majority of people who play use them.
Typical Ret pally mentality.
It’s memorization, mostly, but Ret is unbelievably forgiving about it, and makes the spec extremely simple to play.
If you think I’m on a “high horse” for thinking it’s unfair for others to actually have to try when playing their spec, you’re part of the problem with the game. The truth often hurts.

Herald is passive and much easier to dps with.
I’m not sure why Templar isn’t passive as well.
Just give it a flat damage that has nothing to do with holy power and it fire down a big hammer right after or as wake is casting.
