You’re missing about 465 million gold.
You can have 60 characters on a license, + each of those characters can be guild master and hold another 10million gold.
So technically you have room to reach 1.2billion gold. Why are you slacking? so poor…
I’m sure nobody hates you or thinks you are stupid. It’s just hard for some to imagine having that much disposable income, in real life, or otherwise!
Also, I always thought the gold cap was silly, though I’m sure they have their reasons, I’m just not really sure what their reasons are.

Right now the WO order system on major realms makes more Gold than SL legos ever could.
Any Joe Shmoe who picked a profession and never missed a single weekly quest is a god tier crafter at this point in the game and can make a hundred thousand a night doing WO picked off trade chat.
The SL crafting system had a high gold barrier of entry to be a top tier crafter, so only goblins could participate. The DF barrier to entry is time, and there is no easy catch up since you only get a fixed amount a week. But anyone could participate in the DF system.
I would like to point out that you’re underestimating that number
