Technically, increasing the cap would also increase the amount items and services can be sold for.
If the highest amount an auction could be posted for is gold cap… and you increase gold cap… then the max price on auctions also increases… which affects everyone.

The average things i need as a 100% achievement hunter range 20-30 mil already and the big bois around 50-70mil
TLDR, Money already exist and removing the fictional barrier wont change it =P
If you’re on Illidan, A52 or even Alliance side Stormrage, you can pick a lot of them up out of Trade Chat.
Nobody puts Work Orders in the Public system if you want a 447 piece. If you ground out the six or more high level keys at 16+ or higher difficulty, they are not chancing that to some public rando guy then have to find yet another crafter to 5star it.

I ran the JC, Tailoring and Blacksmith market on my server. I stayed out of LW because I left that for a guildy to do.
I think if you did all 4 professions in SL it would have been a serious but well worth it 2 million investment in the early expansion. If you did it late game after Zerith Mortis and the nerf patches it was drastically cheaper.

Alot of people hating or making fun of our problems but I get you, AH mail cannot be open need to start transferring wealth before you can open mail.
Starting DF I forgot I was at actual cap and not few thousands under and was getting error message when turning quest but I didn’t want to do anything about it since the game was so laggy lol
Anyway I’m the GM of my guild so I often use it as a gold buffer, I just dumb some in there and pick it up later on an alt but I understand that’s not the case with every one.
I also would like a gold cap increase but what I would like much better is a Gold shrink. Like they did with ilvl multiple time and level once, just create a platinum coin on something, either at 100g per (quick scaling solution) or at a 1000g per Platinum. That would shock and the number pretty quick and in no time, gold would be useless and everything would deal in platinium with much smaller numbers.
