WTB Dual Spec - One Change Blizzard

You seem like an angry person.

They did? News to me.

You constantly conflate things. QoL changes were asked for and slowly added. No one asked for bad professions or to limit the PVE game to M+ and a little Raiding.

When was the last time you played retail? You seem generally clueless about the game.

They did, though.
They wanted everything sped up, and simplified.

LOL you mean like clearing all the end game content day 1 like in TBC Classic?
You mean like speeding up leveling by paying a Mage to power you through Mara and now Slave Pens with Chinese Gold?

I also wonder how they got M+ and Mythic Raid mechanics if the players were asking for simpler and easier content? TBC Raids are the pinnacle of difficulty after all and offer super engaging mechanics.

You’re delusional.

You want dual spec because…

It takes too long to go out in the world and make gold.

It takes too long playing in one spec.

It takes too long finding a tank or healer for a group.

It takes too long.

What else are you going to do?

Speed it up, simplify it, make it more convenient.

What else are you going to do?

Players weren’t asking for simpler and easier content, they wanted all the things that slowed down the race to the end removed or negated.

You got it. Retail should be amazing. But I hear it sucks. But you asked for it

You need 4 tanks for 2 karas but only 2 in 25. That’s 100g a week for respecs. 5200g a year

Add dual spec

It’s in wotlk. Be patient.

Dual spec will not get rid of the tank shortage.

Source?

Retail. There a 6 tank classes in the game and people can swap specs at will in retail and there is still a tank shortage.

I mean, this couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that DKs were OP AF and could tank and dps in all 3 specs in Wrath.

I mean, you know what an alt is right?

Is this hard for people?
Do some dailies.
Use your profession.
Run dungeons.
Work the AH, buy low sell high.

Please please stop projecting your paranoia. It’s really getting old.

I want to be able to farm, quest or whatever it is that I like in a way that I find fun. I don’t find playing a Resto fun outside of Raids and Heroics. I also have fun killing things fast and efficiently. Oh the horror.

If the game was designed like EQ and we all needed to group up out in the world for anything just like we need to group up for instanced content it would be one thing but that’s not the case.

DPS specs can do all their daily chores in the same spec they sue for Raiding or Dungeons and never miss a beat. Why are Healers (and maybe Warrior Tanks) the only ones effected by this (from a PVE perspective)

So respec. Shouldn’t be hard at all to make plenty of gold to pay for those respecs. Or, and follow me on this one, make an alt and then you don’t have to worry about respec costs.

Because some healers, ie you, think that they should be just as efficient at the solo part of the game as they are in the group part of the game.

There are pros and cons to being a healer.

Pro - getting into group content is far, far easier
con - doing solo content is harder and takes more time

That a problem was not 100% totally solved doesn’t prove that the things done to lessen the severity of the problem didn’t work. All my alts had an easier time getting groups in Wrath than in Vanilla and BC. A small improvement for my healers but a large improvement for my dps alts. Yes there was still a shortage of tanks and healers but it was quicker and easier to find groups.

It’s such a simple concept. I don’t get why it confuses so many people. A problem can be made less severe with out completely solving it. Even small improvements can bring some relief to many people

The problem is you can’t provide any evidence that it had any impact what so ever outside of a few anecdotes.

I’ve weighed the pros and cons and decided to spec dps on my druid. I’ll do less dungeons as dps but farming and questing is fun to do. That’s a choice many would be tanks and healers make. The end result is less tanks and healers and less groups for everyone.

That’s a choice you assume they would make simply because you think they would. The evidence we do have shows the the impact was minimal at best, so why would it be different this time around?

That’s the problem everyone has here on almost every topic we discuss since the only one that has any data on the game is Blizzard. You can’t prove that dual spec didn’t add to the number of tanks and healers. All we can do is state our opinions and requests to blizzard and let them decide.

I think a survey of players would be a good idea. Let’s see how many people want dual spec and how many are against the idea.

And if you don’t find this game fun, find one that is.

So healers and tanks can’t quest or do dailies?
Weird.
I don’t seem to have any problem doing those things as resto.

No, some healers think that all group members are required to do group content and that solo and group are two different things.

The only role that has an easy time getting PuG’s (if you want to PuG) are Tanks. Heals aren’t as in demand Pugging TBC as you make out. Even then I like to think the devs didn’t design the game around how easy it is to get into a PuG run.

I assume you don’t Raid seriously or you’d also know the first role dropped is a healer when you’re trying to push because more DPS is the answer to almost every WOW Raid problem.

It’s hilarious how people are trying to defend no duel spec.

Just roll two priests!

Just play disc it can do it all!
