spec dps. That’s what I’m doing with my druid. I won’t be able to do as many dungeons but I’ll have fun with questing, farming and pvp. They’ll be less tanks and less healers and less groups and less community but that’s they way the anti dual spec people want it. They want less groups and more solo play.
Shocking concept.
Here’s another one. I as a hunter have no heal or tank spec, so getting into group content is far harder for me than it is for someone who can and does play a healer spec.
And now, I have lost all ability to take you seriously. Sure… sure… pretend like healers don’t have an easy time getting into groups.
And, do you really care about that
Nothing is hard in TBC. NOTHING. This was easy back then and easier today as evidenced by all the end game being cleared day 1. Talk about faster.
Hard or Easy do not equate to fun or boring which you don’t seem to get
I think many make that choice because many have come here and posted that they did make that choice and they posted they would tank or heal more often if there was dual spec.
a small fraction of a small fraction, such compelling evidence.
Now I don’t know if you even play the same game.
Take a look at any of the LFG addons at any time of day. The need for Tanks far outstrips the desire for Healers. Just a quick glance now and it’s like a 10 to 1 ratio.
So make an alt.
Oh, that takes too long. Right.
I hear that wotlk might be more to your liking
I mean, they’re literally trying to argue that they as a healer don’t have an easy time getting into groups because there are not enough tanks.
Yes, 5 man dungeons is my favorite part of the game. If there were no dungeons I wouldn’t be playing the game. I do a little pvp, questing, farming and some raiding but by far dungeons are my favorite part of the game. If there were no raids I’d still play BC. I learned in vanilla that I didn’t like 40 man raids so I didn’t do any in classic. I only really like the 10 man raids, I’ll do some 20 or 25’s but I won’t do any 40 man raids
So ideally you could just log in and do dungeons and not have to worry about anything else getting in the way of that?
And you don’t like waiting for a tank to run dungeons?
It’s easier for a healer than a dps but it’s not like it was in Vanilla, BC, and Wrath. The percent of players that heal is greater in Classic and BC classic than the first time around. But it’s still easier to find a group as a healer than as a dps
Uhhh I never said that genius. I said there’s a huge demand for Tanks and not as much for Healers probably because it’s such an easy role in TBC.
There are more Healers slots in LFG than there are for DPS but not to the extent that your junior game design 101 theory holds water.
Why is everything so black/white for you? Is the complexity of the real world too difficult for your simple mind to comprehend? When one claims one thing is their favorite it doesn’t mean it’s all they want. No matter how much I like dungeons I still want to have fun questing and farming. Just like no matter how much I like mint chocolate chip, it’s my favorite I still like rocky road or plain chocolate etc. and eat it sometimes
Why can’t we play TBC without a wotlk feature?
If we need to fix it and improve it and add updates, what was the actual point of asking for the original TBC back?
Why not just ask for a split off from Shadowlands?
I mean, what about Timewalking content?
Wasn’t that enough?
What is so great about TBC if you ask for it then start asking for changes to it?
We can, The game would just be better for most people if dual spec was added. Just as many people claim the seal change from wrath made the game better and the drum change made it better. We could have played the game without those changes. We could have played classic without the chronoboon but some people liked the change and think it made the game better
BC was a good game but it wasn’t created by gods and classic isn’t a holy relic. What was so great about BC that 15 years ago people were asking for the same changes we’re asking for now? Well, it was a good but flawed game
This isn’t the original TBC. You’re fooling yourself if you think it is.
I don’t remember WTS xx Boost spam back when I played.
I don’t remember Mags and Gruul’s being cleared Day 1.
etc, etc.
This isn’t TBC. This is the theme park version of the theme park. Like going to a gastro pub that charges you 25 bucks for a burger and a beer so you can bring back memories of college.
the game would also be better if we all got a bunch of free gold. can we do that change too. oh and some uber-delivered ice cream to every player’s house.
The BC devs have told us they are considering QoL changes and asked the players for feed back on the changes they want. You are free to ask for that change along with your reasons you think it would be good for the game. If you can get a sufficient number of people supporting that change with you it might come to blizzard’s attention and they might consider it.
And did it ruin the game in any meaningful way? No.
The gold grind time sink for respec is in no way compelling or rewarding gameplay. It’s mindless busy work so you can…you know…play the parts of the game you like and have fun.
