I don’t know if that’s accurate or not that boosting isn’t banable. I don’t care enough to look but I’ll tell you that most players in classic hate boosters. So if your looking for sympathy here for being banned while boosting people through a dungeon, you prolly won’t find it. Good luck though.

So I’m not going to say I’m not going to believe you because I got wrongfully banned in Lost Ark for botting behavior.
I’ll say this though Blizzard isn’t Amazon and they’re usually spot on with their bans. I got a 2 week ban buying gold in classic years ago when I did infact buy gold and my account hasn’t been touched since because I’ve been good lol. I want to believe you and hope it gets figured out but at the same time I’m skeptical you are clean. They don’t hand out perma bans for nothing.

My husband and I WoW together several times a week. We’ve been doing this for years. Never been banned. Before we married, I was in NV and he was in CA and I’d bring my computer with me…so I was varying locations.
It sounds like you are omitting a key part of your complaint. But that’s just my opinion.
If you have been wrongly banned, keep up the appeals.
Also, this is not where to voice your concerns. Admin almost never checks these forums. All you are going to be met with is skepticism… obvious by the majority of comments.

you said you are on deployment. Is the computer you logged in on yours?
If its a random computer that isn’t yours perhaps it had 3rd party software on it without your knowledge?

OP doesn’t do himself any favors when he starts out “me and my gf were just leveling, this is how we spend time together while I’m away” and then turns out they were getting boosted by a third party.
Like my wife doesn’t play, but getting boosted together by some Brazilian teenager ain’t exactly romantic. Maybe if you’re Jerry Falwell Jr.?
They always say exploit. They will NEVER say they banned you for buying gold. All of those threads where people have pictures of a “banned email” saying it was for buying gold are fake asf.
If you want to buy gold in wow you have to do 1 of 2 things.
Buy straight from blizzard as there are no monopoly rules for digital gold
Use a burner account
Blizz does not want you buying gold from the competition.

I don’t know if this has come up and I don’t wanna scan through 50 posts to check so I’ll just state it here, with my apologies if this is a repeat.
I believe that sometimes macro software can trigger this. So if you have something configured to do multiple actions with one key press, it’s against the ToS and can result in a ban. Not sure if that applies to you, but heads up.
Look, assuming you don’t have a valid reason for the ban, this is the unfortunate side of the blizzard customer service team. There’s no consistency.
Back when I used to play retail, a guild member made a mistake in a craft and requested the wrong item from me. The new (at the time) retail crafting UI was really bad and it was an easy mistake to make. He contacted a GM and got the craft reversed and his materials refunded, at which point he was able to get the correct item crafted.
A little while later I made the same mistake with a craft of my own (as I said, the UI was really bad). I contacted a GM and was told there was nothing they could do and they just don’t address these kinds of crafts. I asked them to explain why then they were able to do it for my guild mate no problem and was just met with generic, nonsense responses.
That whole experience kind of soured me on retail and I decided I didn’t want to play a beta anymore, so I came back to classic. Unfortunately for you, there’s not much you can do. You’re at the whims of whoever answers your tickets.
If someone logs off suddenly they are banned, this smells of guilty for hacking all over it. I’m assuming your “girlfriend” is just your second account ?

This is when I would love for the blues to post like a screenshot of this guy clearly buying gold just to get people to stop making these “I didn’t cheat” posts.
You did something, admit it, it was probably months ago, learn from it and either do it better or stop doing it if you don’t want future bans.
Why does all of this sound made up?
Every response is just so questionable, it’s his computer, but apparently he’s on deployment somewhere. This army hero with a girl friend I’m expecting is actually a 40 year old in a basement buying or selling gold.

Thanks for the reply, I woke up today with a response to my latest appeal stating it is now being escalated to the Specialist Team. Again I appreciate the positive replies from everyone.
A lot to reply to for the other comments. So I’ll try to address some. When I’m deployed I use my personal laptop, but I do use a VPN when I go to 3rd world countries. So possible anomaly there, maybe? Secondly lying about having a gf is pathetic, she’s real, it’s not my second account lmao. Thirdly, the second account I have is never used to “clone keystrokes” or anything like that, it has a 60 mage and a bunch of 20 warlocks I use to travel around bc I’m too lazy to walk to fly.
