WrA Alliance = Dead?

Title. How’s the Alliance side these days? Last time I made a character there Stormwind was practically empty even during the busy hours, there’s nothing like the VoH there and it seemed to be mostly only guild run events and things happening.

Still the case or did you all hop over to Horde to play rats?

It’s not even close to empty.

They’re all in Warmode reenacting the Persian side of the battle of Thermopylae or however you spell it.

Sounds about right. WM on this server for horde is actual cancer.

The Dwarven community is still super active. Can’t speak for everyone else though.

Sorry nvm.

I meant more for RP rather than WM. Everytime I check around Stormwind I see about 2-3 people around the place, I see a usual group of people on the stairs going up to the portal room talking OOC about how much they hate themselves/everyone else/everything.

Remember that people are doing the new content and leveling up the allied races, so seeing a slump in numbers on Alliance isn’t much of a shock.

Yes, this, can confirm that the Dwarves are cool and worth hanging out with. Is there any in-game chat channel for people to join to find you folks easier?

I was at Blue recluse the other night and there was like 3-4 people. 2 afks and 2 people rping there own thing from what I saw.
Trade district seem petty dead at times too.

This is the dwarf community, link to it is in the post. /join themeadhall still works as an old channel, but it has been replaced by the community and discord.

I bet Vulpera being released didn’t help that either.

No in fact Vulpera down the road are most likely going to cripple Alliance even more then Blood Elves did, causing the game as a whole to suffer some pretty rough issues

Joking aside I don’t think we’re going to see a ton of activity. BFA is in the last patch and for many this expansion has not been good or fun at all. Vulpera did likely give Horde a boost but after the new and shiny feelings go away I am sure we’re going to be in a similar spot. Not trying to be a downer but I would not get too invested in things until Shadowlands. It isn’t just Alliance on WRA that’s empty it is WoW itself.

I’d half agree with that, I’ve seen a lot of activity Horde side recently. I know that’s the honeymoon period for the Vulpera really doing it but even before they were out you’d see a healthy amount of people in VoH.

I’m an Alliance player. I let my sub lapse in November after hitting exalted with Voldunai rep. I intended to pre-order Shadowlands around the time 8.3 dropped and try out a Vulpera.

Everything I read about 8.3 has made me rethink pre-purchasing Shadowlands at all, all the bugs and horrible grinds and all that. Then WC3:Reforged launched and it’s just more of the same.

Without even playing I’ve come to realize the Vulpera would ultimately be a distraction for me, as I just get no joy from playing Horde, period. Unfortunately, I’m not getting much more joy playing Alliance these days either. Our Allied Races have just been awful with the sole exception of Dark Iron Dwarves (that’s just my opinion). I think arguably the worst is Void Elves. I tried to get into them, but I can’t. Every time I’m in Stormwind on this blue elf I just keep lamenting all the ideas I had for High Elf characters that don’t work with a void-addled exile. I tried, “just saying I’m a High Elf,” and even the trick with Orb of the Sin’dorei and the prisms, but if I’m not playing something, I just can’t do it. A void elf is not a high elf no matter how you try to present yourself.

If we’d just gotten High Elves back at the start of all this I’d probably still be playing right now. As it is I can’t even commit to buying Shadowlands anymore. Given everything that’s been going on with this company recently, I really don’t have much hope for the future of the game, let alone the only faction I actually enjoy playing.

They’re all in their big fancy sea city of Boralus RPing. When I got on my draenei a while ago Stormwind was empty. I went to Boralus I saw way more people hanging out. Boralus is 100% more RP friendly due to it’s diverse and unique enviroment. Dazar’alor lacks a lot of that, hence why a lot of the Horde can’t seem to leave Valley of Honor… (We need more hot spots)

One day. One day we’ll get a neat city to RP in.
