Come join the fun, Rethum and I lovin it.
Just because pvp gearing is massively unrewarding doesn’t mean that gear vendor is outrageous. Choose your battles my dudes, gear is so easy to come by in general outside of pvp that a quest zone currency vendor for at best heroic gear isn’t that exciting.
It is outrageous though lol why should time gating wqs give heroic/m10/rival ilevel? Reward difficulty not time spent doing mindless activities.
That really goes into how unrewarding pvp gearing is, mythic 10s are a chore like world quests honestly. They aren’t difficult outside of holding your group together, unless you’re playing with friends / guildies.
GOing to have to agree with Kydrav here there is no reason why they shouldn’t have a pvp vender at this point. I also think higher difficulty content should have higher IL rewards and not the other way around. Doesn’t make sense how you can reward someone for doing basically nothing and then for people actually doing difficult content reward them with absolutely nothing or the same.
M10 is easy, to me but not WQs easy. M10 is def more challenging than WQs for 90% of the player base.
Hi yes I’d like best gear in game from pet battles
I level up my characters with pet battles now. Battlegrounds and pets battles between queues. Once you get into it it really starts to feel like pokemon.
Now I need a pet roster capable of defeating some pet dungeon so I can buy new pets from the (gasp here it comes)
PET VENDOR
The people in the general forum thread are so dumb, I think I’m actually gonna have an aneurysm!
Tbh, I think it’s hilarious.
YO I JUST HELPED TOMMY TAKE HIS DOG OUT, GOT 400 HEROIC RAID EQUIVALENT GLOVES.
I stopped having fun when I realized these people are serious and not just trolling. Imagine getting raid gear for 5 minutes of solo content and thinking that’s okay?
These 18-25 year olds are already killing WoW. Might as well unlock all xmogs new and old, elite, all future xmogs, give everyone all mounts including glad / raid achieves, give everyone max gear with full Titanforges too. It’s gonna happen anyways why delay the inevitable, all they want is participation rewards for logging in anyways.
What’s sad is that thread will end up with hundreds of responses and will almost surely get read by blizz people meanwhile it’s dead over here and pvp concerns about access to gear will go completely unaddressed.
Pretty much, yeah. General forums are full of SJW/Self-entitled casual players.
LMAO
While I’m not a fan of welfare gear - by which I include both emissaries and mythic+ completion runs - it’s better than giving gear only to FOTM specs in arenas, which is what awarding gear for rating amounts to.
Arenas ought to be about skill, which means people should go in with equal gear and a balance between specs. PVP gearing should be done some other way, for which the Conquest’s Reward quest is actually a good start.
MAU must have been going so low lately to the point they’re throwing away all rewards to keep the remaining players from leaving.
Its exactly like Heroes when so few player left in the pool, they just put Grandmaster with bronze player otherwise they’ll never get in the game even though the experience will be miserable for both side.
This is way too predictably the way a couple of middle aged male character plate DPS players with 30 duelist titles and 2-4 glads between the pair of them think about gear.
That you guys are green with jealousy over gear being handed out freely for content as easy, as quick and as modular as world quests hand it out seems sad to me. Lack of accessibility has done more damage to PvP in wow than the devs could do with another decade of pruning. Playing as or against people with crummy gear is by average less rewarding than playing against equally geared people.
If you actually care about PvP primarily or exclusively, you want the entire ladder to have a tournament realm vendor. More availability, not less. WQ gear being high ilvl is a step towards that; hating it makes no sense… Unless you’re the kind of PvP enthusiast who only arenas because they outgrew bgstomping with a premade party, and never actually care about arena gameplay or rewards. Yikes.
Do we put up the same kicking and screaming about how we level? In my experience, we usually just suffer through it. Leveling takes a good chunk of time early in an expansion, but that’s the cost of doing business. I don’t remember complaints that questing is required to get to 120. Who cares if it’s required to get to 430?
An interesting fix would be…
Gain 1 Manapearl for every honorable kill earned while not in a party or raid group. Also give 1 Manapearl per kill in rated arena matches.
Boom, now pvp gets to use that vendor too.
One per arena win.
If I click on that forum link i’ll probably get banned
how is that any different though than people grinding rep in mop for good starting gear
