This was an unnecessary topic.
Some of rhe world quests are designed similarly to old raid bosses.
Avoid cleaves, avoiding massive knockbacks that kill if you touch them.
The only reason they dont have a tank killer mechanic is due to rhem making it more group friendly.
The purple elite in nazmir is reminiscent of old raids.
The bosses in open world have mechanics? Iâm pretty sure iâve stood in every single one of them and never died.
And sometimes the whole server will lag for 5 secs and the boss will be already dead when it gets back to normal. Hard content for sure.
From a financial perspective, people will keep paying to play if their mindless activities have an eventual reward. So you should probably not begrudge people for getting where you are at a far slower pace.

Hahah dang it. Got myself a nice forum vacation because of that thread. Thatâs what I get for sarcastically insulting people.
Yeah thatâs definately why I didnât even post in it lol
On two different occasions I had an entire post typed out but then I reread it and just canceled it cause I knew iâd get temped over berating that stupid fembelf at the beginning who was like âwhy does the gear I get matter to you! We play the game in different ways!â
lol so tilting. Itâs just not even worth it to try debating someone with this mindset. They probably donât see any issues with universal basic income or socialism either.
You canât do much on the forums these days without repercussion. Even if itâs clearly not that bad, the mods these days are soft. Also scared theyâll be apart of the next red february.
Itâs pretty sad having to explain to new players: âNo, the best way to get geared is to do PvE, World Quests and these NPC battles.â
New player: âBut what if I donât want to do PvE?â
Me: ââŚthen I guess youâre gonna have to spam PvP content with no knowledge or gear to help you out and pray to the Blizzard gods that they give you gear you need.â
Meanwhile Ion and the goon squad talks about vendors as if theyâre participation loot, while offering pretty ridiculous gear for helping a baby turtle draw a triangle. Or obtaining dust from a titans dry skin to purchase top tier quality loot. Those are ok, but PvP vendors are a big no no.
Why is it so hard allowing people to buy even 370 PvP gear with marks of honor or something? Why are we forcing people into content they donât care to do so they can play a portion of the game they enjoy?
Could you imagine if they dropped PvP vendors in both mugamabalalala and that dirty mud wrestling pit for the alliance how popular those spots would be? All of outdoor orgimmar would be there dueling in the DUELERS GUILD THAT WAS MEANT TO BE A SOLO QUEUE-ISH SKIRM THATS BEEN DEAD SINCE RELEASE. It would be like Dalaran Sewers from Wrath or even Legion all over again. It was an entire world of just PvPers, PvPing.
Itâs like buying Battlefield for the PvP but before you can, you need to unlock the guns in the story mode. Oh, you donât care about their story? Thatâs a shame, still need you to finish these missions and help out the blizmanâs and their regime before you can go have fun.
I say this as someone who actually enjoys PvE to an extent. Sometimes I donât want to do PvE on an alt (hardly ever actually) and yet I am forced to do so I can enjoy PvP without needing to worry of a fully geared main 3 shotting people casually.
Ion I hope youâre reading this since as Lore massages your shoulders.
I to do enjoy PvE from time to time. I was after all drawn into this game for the PvE and was a top tier raider on Frostwolf during Vanilla-WoTLK era.
That being said I do not care for PvE feeling mandatory. It has been really frustrating this season in particular to gear my alts. I donât feel strong enough to participate in arenas in the 370-400ilvl range, but I also canât get groups for heroic BoD / Mythic+ that would actually be ilvl upgrades because people want WAY overgeared players for their runs. Kind of silly when Iâm trying to get ilvl 400 pieces that I canât join the raid/m+ that drops those items without being 405-410 ilvl already lol.
Not gonna bother with seeing how many upvotes folks are getting for saying âwell ppl play the game different you just wanna feel special for doing harder contentâ
What a time to be alive /s
This game used to have player unanimously want to do harder stuff for better gear, its what made it addicting.
Now the guy who does the tortollan quest to make a triangle expects mythic drops has a major voice
Yeah Iâm not sure what is worse, entitlement or laziness.
Well, arenas aren´t that hard, but they are significantly harder than Heroic âInsert Name of Raid Tier here ____________â. With only 2 items rewarded per week, if you are lucky. If you are not, then only 1, and sometimes X weapon from WQ that titanforged onto a 415 with the stat that YOU NEED is much better, than the 405 you get for beeing 1800 rating.
I enjoy both pvp and pve.
I miss the days when i could grind a set out of bgs and arena that helped me be formidable in arena but also respectable in the pug raiding I engage in.
Itâs been obvious that in BfA doing M 10 + every week and heroic pug raids leading into early mythic raid boss kills is just so dramatically more rewarding in terms of gear than pvp FOR SO MUCH LESS EFFORT that the only rational way to gear up for serious pvp is mythic 10+ and raids.
