WoWhead ongoing censorship

There’s that word again. “Offensive”. It seems to change all the time, doesn’t it? What would you say if tomorrow it was decided that the word “happy” was offensive and you could no longer use it without fear of being cancelled? That’s the problem with suppressing speech: it never ends.

This is still breaking the rules. Expand your vocabulary if a cuss word is the only way to express your concern.

Ok on a site that allows no swearing putting it in symbols doesn’t make it ok.

My question to you is, why do you think they needed swear words to communicate when plenty do just fine without?

Honestly I haven’t read the bill, I just saw the headline this morning. That being said I’m sure there is stuff in there where the post can’t be obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing etc… and as it would be a state statute anything covered by S230 wouldn’t even be subject to the law, because federal statute supersedes state statutes.

My vocabulary is expanded enough. I know it’s hard comprehend but sometimes a cuss word is really the only way to get a point across.

Oh wait, they get censored and removed.

We are certainly on our way to complete and total slavery for the average citizen and it’s all under the guise of fake positivity.

I say go the route of TBS and Breakfast Club censorship.

Fruit you man!
Eat my cereal!
You just queen cheese huh? The queen cheese and her popular cereal.
You a pear? Yeah you a pear for bringing a banana to school.

It was censored for not doing anything about violent extremist content, as is the case with many right-wing “freeze peaches” platforms. Why? Because that’s the kind of “free speech” they’re really after.

I have about had it with your tone. Step it down a notch.

Well considering many posts still asterisk thier posts and not get deleted but some others do shows a bias for starters. Like I said its really just a matter of some people not agreeing with someone else’s different opinion and trying to censor them even if they don’t cuss their still censored.

Blizzard only takes action if people flag the post. It could go under the radar if no one reports it.

Nooooooooooo! Say it aint so. Left coast tech giants censoring people they disagree with?? THat could never happen in AMerica.

No it’s not and clearly you don’t.

Imagine hand-wringing over companies doing what they want with their private property and calling it Fascism.

Meanwhile, in the real world, a large chunk of the country supported overturning a fair and legal election.

I’m sorry, but you just don’t understand what censorship means.

You mean try to share misinformation to sway simps

Hey believe what you want. You don’t know me personally so you’re making assumptions with no factual evidence. But do go on about how you know me better than I know myself. I’ll wait

This. Again. Always. Never forget this.

The people who support the curtailing of words in one place will support it everywhere else. It’s only going to spread farther and get more severe in what can and cannot be said, and it’s all under the guise of kindness. You don’t want obviously cruel speech suppressed, you want things that personally offend you suppressed.
