WoWhead ongoing censorship

Wowhead should delete any post that is not some mvp commentor spelling out how to farm some item, complete some quest or other wow related help.

Good for them if they are cutting out the crap. Blizzard should learn from them and go absolutely nuclear on the off topic garbage that gets posted here.

It’s not about believing anything. You break the rules, you get punished. The fact you think cussing to get your point out, shows a lack of education and respect for authority. Thus, you get punished and cry about it for sympathy.

Ummmm ackshually it’sa private platform so there’s nothing wrong with a handful of mega corporations controlling the opinions you can have on social media

No one’s controlling anyone’s opinion, and if they do, you may simply use a different platform.

It is a shame how many people dont mind that the people getting censored arn’t in their group/echo chamber.

I like listening to what the other side has to say, it is how we evolve as humans.

Scary times we live in.

Until cancel culture hits that platform, and everyone will shout and cheer that silencing these “undesirable” voices was a good thing.

this is objectively wrong

Half the news posts are just fluff, that’s what the guy commented on.

They removed parlor so…

Not once did I cry. The fact you think cussing is some lack of respect for authority makes me laugh. Authority only gets respect when it earns it, like anyone. Nor does cussing show a lack of education either, you’re delusional if you truly believe that nonsense.

And in the real world, things are a bit more grey than that.

Should Youtube let terrorist organizations post recruitment videos on their platform? If we censor that, are we suddenly heading down a slippery slope where no one can post anything?

“Respect” has two definitions. One is a sense of admiration. The other is basic politeness. “Reapect is earned.” is no excuse to start swearing on the forums.

You believe you can break the rules because you have a 5th grade level vocabulary. Continue to get ban and scream censorship, good luck.

Nice try, but terror recruitment videos fall under calls to action/violence which are illegal.

You can stand on the street and talk about how much you hate ______ or _____ but as soon as you say something like lets get are weapons and go attack ______ it is now illegal.

Terrorist organizations like Antifa and BLM, you mean?

… Okay, even I think that’s a bit far afield. Let’s go with “extremist”. That sounds nicer.

Antifa isn’t even an organization.

The rules are for us, not them.

You could write a book with your wisdom and outdo Dr. Phil with your moral compass. Kudos to you for being a pillar and beacon of inspiration for all people.

Lol so I have a 5th grade vocabulary now. Funny. You completely missed everything I said. I never once said myself, I said what I’ve seen happen to other people. Get off your high horse

It’s still censorship, and the suggestion is all censorship is bad (which is silly.)

The only time people should be concerned is when platforms censor people because the government told them to, but it’s a bit more complicated than that.
