So i decided to make the mistake of purchasing a wow token. I thought why not, right? What I got was a charge to my account for 21.45 and nothing else. Wow support says we got your money but we dont care it didnt show up. Message again in 24 hours. WRONG! If you cant supply the demands of the purchase then there shouldnt be a purchase. This is not ok! How about your boss tells you hey you did a great job this week but we are not going to pay you until later. You would be unhappy. As a consumer it is only right to give the item being purchased and do all you can do to make sure things are handeled correctly. You wonder why there are gold farmers that sell gold or people who buy items to resale through the game its because this service is horrible. If you cant give the item then dont charge the card being used. You wont go to a fast food place and order items and then be told well come back tomorrow and we will see what we can do. Its unjust and a very poor service. Absolute manuer!
Next time open a purchase failure ticket that tends to be answered quicker.
Have you done a fresh logout of the game since your purchase? There was a report earlier of a delay in the Token appearing.
What do you see when you view your Transaction History here on the website?
it says completed and i restarted my computer to make sure eveything was fully logged out and to make sure there wasnt any issue on my end. money is still missing from my account though. win for blizzard i guess.
Are you certain about this? Is it still flagged as a pre-authorization charge, perhaps? It’s possible the purchase failed, which is not something Blizzard has any control over. In time your earmarked funds will be released for you to use as you please.
Believe me, businesses want your money. They aren’t in the habit of just taking and not giving what you purchased, that’s illegal.
im certain and just chcked again to make sure.
Also, just as an aside, have you performed a UI reset to rule out a display glitch with your client? Is it possible you use an addon that might be hiding it from you? Such as Bagnon?
if you read the above passage you will see where i stated i completly shut down everything including my computer and restarted, this feels like theft at this point.
I did in fact read that.
That is not what I asked, because a system restart will not have the same effect.
But if you’re honestly here just to stamp your feet and throw a tantrum, that is your prerogative. An SFA might have time to swing by sometime when they get in the office come tomorrow morning. Given its 24+ hours after purchase, I’m still leaning towards failed purchase attempt. I bid good fortune towards the resolution.
Hello Cãbleguy,
This is a player to player help forum. Players post here to help answer questions and point other players in the correct direction. Nothing you have seen above is incorrect and it is all good advise.
Blues (SFA’s) will sometimes come in and add to posts. But that is not always guaranteed. A Blue may come in tomorrow, when they are in the office and add to this.
If 24hrs has passed since you purchased, it is likely a purchase failure. We have seen those here before.
Make a ticket, under purchase failure, if this continues and there is no more info added here.
Good luck.
We’re encouraged here to help others with ways that we can, whether you like it or not. You don’t get to decide on who gets to post or help you with your issue.
Now, if resetting the User Interface did not work, next best thing to do is submitting a ticket under purchase failure. If you did get charged, but have not received your token, that is where even the Support Forum Agents would send you to as well, also if not received after a certain period of time for clarity as well.
Being rude towards others who are just trying to help you though is not the way to go, and trolling the forums, especially since Customer Support is more heavily moderated than the rest of the forums, is best to be avoided. Just because you got a problem, does not mean you’re exempted from the Forum Code of Conduct.
This occasionally happens: are you looking in the inventory of the character you were on when you made the purchase? It goes to that character and stays with that character.
Purchases can have processing time.
Given I see this appears to have gone through - and you currently have it listed, I presume things sorted themselves out, yes?
