I wonder if its unlocking has to do with the thread that popped up today, “Please don’t add more lgbt representation.”
We are at the point now where if they added a really well written LGBT character, no matter what they will be disliked because the “”“fans”"" are going to claim that its forced.

Yeah, it’s weird. Locking after no posts for 90 days is something I’ve seen with this software, but auto-unlock after 48 days… maybe it’s like the ignore function is time limited.
Perhaps the entire forum will disappear after 666 days.
I think it’s trolling the OP of the thread “Please don’t add more lgbt representation.” because it’s first of April.
Maybe, or maybe the forum software is just weird.

Every time these threads pop up claiming to represent my interests, I stay off the forums for 5+ days. What a mess.
What kind of moderation doesn’t put this thread in the abyss?
This thread has been locked more than a dozens of time but the forum system keep bringing it back. And also there’s always someone necroing the thread to keep it alive.

I’m saying it should be manually deleted, someone there saw this and thought: “It’s a good idea to keep this up, even if the OP has innocent intentions, this surely wouldn’t be a hotbed of controversy completely unrelated to WoW”
And it is unrelated, because nobody ever mentions the roles or performances of these theoretical characters except that they HAVE to have a public and open sexuality to appease people’s REAL LIFE interests. Why do I not want it? Why do I not care even though I share the same values? Because I respect art.
Muting such threads can be useful.
It’s not about me, it’s about the geniuses who think these threads have any chance of not ending in chaos.
Tell me one example of when they haven’t. Any time.
At least half the time they are set up by trolls who are expecting the chaos.
Not genuine requests at all.

How do you know there aren’t many lgbt characters in the game? Most npc characters never reveal their preference. Unless what you actually mean is you want some stereotype to be put in the game, in which case shame on you. Lgbt people are people too and shouldn’t be whittled down to some stereotype.

Story wise I see no issue with this. It adds flavor and realism to the lore and character, if done right.
Anything else as game dev I would discard you ask. If we make you special and give you special recognition then we have to give it to every one else and acknowledge their difference as well in the game. it will be a mess and hell of a work for no particular reason.
If it enhances game play for majority - keep it, if it adds only to some, discard it. And if Im not mistaken, there might be issues with Game Rating.
