For the minority of people who have played WoW for decades and have essentially explored ALL the content I’m sure a new class would be appealing, but to the vast majority of the player base a new class is unnecessary in my opinion.
Oh yeah, I totally understood that. I’m probably one of a small few pro Tinker players that would like it to be restricted to Goblins, Mechagnomes and Gnomes. I think an Undermine Goblin allied race would make for a nice 4th.
I have very specific reasons for my opinion on it being restricted, I just don’t like to bring it up anymore. It’s a bit counterproductive to the end goal.
one) there is enough gun violence in the real world, I am not really a fan of it being a thing in my fantasy world
two) guns to me equals our modern world and I am not really a fan of things from our modern world being in my fantasy world
three) I hate the sound of them; there is one area (can’t remember where right now) that I had to turn the sound off because I was no longer immersed in an amazing fantasy world, I was trapped in vietnam war movie.
I love that iconic scene of the dwarf on the snowy mountain with his souped up musket and bear. (Wow that music is incredible!)
If real world opinions are going to come up, then I’m going to avoid this conversation entirely.
I mean no disrespect whatsoever. I just don’t think the WoW forums are the place for that conversation.
WoW to me has never been traditional fantasy. And there’s been guns in WarCraft since the RTS days.
I actually find it strange that we have Races entire devoted to Technological apptitude, and Giant titan super computers, and warp technology, and reorigination engines capable of wiping out all life on the planet, and all this crazy Sci-Fi stuff. But we only have one class that even uses guns… and even then it’s only 2 specs…
It’s kind of immersion breaking.
