Mecha Gnomes.

I love me some Amazon Prime, but after seeing that logo at the end of the New World trailer, I immediately closed the tab.

New World looks like a sandbox PvP-centric MMO and won’t ship with any dungeon or raid, so it’s competing more with Eve Online and PvP-focused Korean MMOs like Black Desert Online than it is with World of Warcraft and other theme parks PvE MMOs.

And it makes sense because the PvE MMO market is quite saturated right now.

Even then, I doubt WoW will ever truly die. Look at Everquest, that game doesn’t just exist, it still gets expansions.

This game is likely to never pass until the company decides it’s no longer benefiting them to put work into its development. However even then it’s more than possible a 3rd party team would pick up the pieces and

That already happens even while it’s not finished being developed.

Not a chance.

Generic, boring and high system requirments.

that trailer is so bad, im totally not interested right NOW
time will tell how the gameplay is, i might give it a few weeks to see how it is when it launches

No it doesn’t. The store is all cosmetics. Loot boxes aren’t really a thing unless you absolutely must have that one lightsaber crystal or new cosmetic outfit. And all of those can be bought separately without a random cosmetic box.

New World looks good for a specific type of player. Or
someone who’s interested in a particular type of setting. It reads as very survival-ish and realistic. However a lot of us like the brightness and hyper Pixar quality of wow.

I don’t really want to just play a human in muddy leather and pvp against others in a log fort.

Nothing will kill wow other than the dev’s look at eq1 its still up and running but def not the go to mmorpg any more just like WOW has not been in the last 5+ years

No muddy leather or log forts, huh? I can see why you picked alliance.
