WoW isn't an MMORPG. its an MMOamusementpark

Whatever makes you feel better, so go join them then.

Oh I’ll still be pushing for it here, as the Alliance has a juicy roster of heroes that are just…begging to be made raid bosses.

Yeah it’s about time they made some Alliance raid bosses! Maybe we’ll get to fight Jaina and Anduin.

There are plenty more.

Much of the Horde would agree that they have a score to settle in significant character deaths.

Bwuh? MMORPGS are still MMORPGS even if they have a varied open world with lots of stuff to do.

I’m confused.

Coming from one of GD’s longest-term trolls, this is genuine comedy.

What else do you expect people to do?

Nothing else will make Blizzard notice.

Ion got a promotion! He’s now also in charge of Classic. So the trend will continue.

I expect them to complain toothlessly on the forums, and then meekly go along with it when Blizzard does something completely different. You know, like they do every expansion.

I was about to say

I’ve seen them doompost every patch for the past half a decade. :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Afew on the OCE forum don’t agree with you there…

Okay? I’m not talking about “some people on the forums”, I’m talking about you, specifically, who keeps bemoaning the sad state of the game and implying everyone is going to quit, while staying subscribed for years even though (as far as I can tell) you enjoyed 0% of the game during that time.

I will continue to do as I wish, regardless of whether you not if you think I have any moral integrity.

Now I have pestering cat to deal with if you’ll excuse me.

No it hasn’t.

The game was a world where you would pick and choose with or without a group what you experienced and how you experienced it. Not a complete sandbox style game but a good mix of it. World pvp would start up organically leading to raid vs raid. They even created the SS v TM brawl based on it. Your bis wasn’t “the latest patch zone instance.” The world remained alive despite hitting cap.

Now, it is an experience on rails. Point A to point B with arrows in “latest patch zone” while the rest of the world is dead. No need to farm anything else except latest release mat. World pvp has now become so bastardized that it’s a joke.

Everything has taken the back of the bus while the only thing that matters(by design) is the “newest ride/instance.”

Dude this game is the kiddy pool of pvp games out there. It’s a Carebear land amusement park ask any hardcore pvp players. There is pretty much zero sandbox in this game.

This is definitely spoken by someone that has never done any “hardcore pvp.” The level of detail required to be among the top is insane. Things you wouldn’t even know existed.

I have actually done hardcore pvp and even played very difficult pvp games where it’s always dangerous. This game is considered by very smart hardcore pvp players to be very easy and not worth their time coming from them.

I know also exactly the kinds of things pvp players do to be among the top and how sweaty they get. I’m sure in WoW they use any number of ‘things’ to compete and be on top.

It actually gets kinda sad how pvp players are.

Oh man. They should really make a new game. There haven’t been any new games released since WoW came out twenty years ago, and I agree. It’s time for a new game.

Then why haven’t you done it? You’ve talked about it for years.

wow has always been a theme park MMO. It hasn’t lost its “RPG nature” because it has some different mechanics you don’t like.
