What wrong with that, alot of options
I dont mind as long as there’s Roller Coasters. I dont mind if it has a Carousel or kiddie trains.
Pretty much. I much like Pepperidge Farm remember the complaints about everyone sitting in faction cities all day nothing to do but sit in Org or Stormwind. So, they give us a a couple expansions with plenty of stuff to do to get folks out in the open world. Then it starts raining complaints about having to actually leave Stormwind, and Org to do stuff in the open world
World play hasn’t mattered since Legion, and BFA imo. It was ok in Dragonflight with the soup event, and after rifts, and the dreamsurge stuff was added. Always saw a lot of people out doing those. Same with legion invasions, and BFA faction assaults. Lucky if you see more than 2 or 3 people around doing wq’s stuff in this current expansion. Doubt hardly anyone would notice if they took the word world out of the title of this game and started calling the game Instances of Warcraft lol.
To “lose” something, that something must first be possessed. WoW was NEVER an actual RPG.
Yet another Classic player trying to justify playing Classic instead of Retail with a forum thread full of collective fantasies Classic players have about Retail.
I propose banning people from posting on the Retail WoW forum unless they actually own the Retail version of the game.
Many many years ago when WoW was shiny and new, someone said it was a theme park MMO, its endlessly funny when Classic players have this take about retail when it was their version of the game that got labelled as such.
Doesn’t retail and classic share the same Sub? So if you Sub for one you automatically get the other?
It has the best pvp out of all MMO’s i have played so that’s good enough for me.
Garbage. There are tons of RPGs with no “faction conflict.” And even if you had been right about Warcraft being built around it, the factions setting aside their differences to beat a greater threat has been the central theme since Vanilla (AQ and ZG at a minimum), never mind everything that came after.
Yes but much of Warcrafts history and conflict have been defined by those conflicts.
And be honest here…would you really expect us as a species to let blood thirsty Orcs peacefully co-exist alongside you after they slaughtered your ancestors?
If there were literally infinite legions of demons and void creatures out in space who wanted to destroy or corrupt my entire planet? You’d better believe it.
Regarding the “slaughtered your ancestors” bit, I’m not even going to touch the real-world parallels.
You don’t need to do that directly, but I find that our game is morphing more and more too closely with our boring, predictably sterile world.
Or at all. No thanks.
Be amused.
I just want the War back in Warcraft.
What we have now is…lame.
A subscription alone is not enough to play retail.

There is plenty. If the only war that matters to you is the faction war, Classic is that way.
I too can make up my own definitions, and I’ve ruled that WoW is a MMORPGRPG.
I think that’s where most everybody is atm.
