It isn’t YOUR game buddy. Millions of people play this game and I already expressed my concern with NPCs replacing actual people. If the NPC is more efficient than a person then it encourages people to play with NPCs instead of other people. I don’t want that. I came to WOW because it is a social multiplayer RPG.
You like to sit on your box acting like you are better than me but you have tunnel vision and refuse to accept anyone can disagree with you or have legitimate concerns about this kind of change. So attack me all you want but I posit this: you are no better than me.
I know XIV is a significantly easier game than WoW, but sometimes I’m half convinced that the average WoW player is absolute dog tier when compared to a below average XIV player.
With the way WoW has to go above and beyond to make queable content trivially stupid for the majority, when XIV isn’t afraid to one shot you for being stupid lol.
I have been reading these boards daily since 7.3.5, and I have never heard anyone make this statement that wasn’t being hyperbolic. Not once in 6 years.
Providing solo, paying customers more to do that doesn’t interfere with the 3 pillars that others have enjoyed for decades is a good thing. I fail to see how it can be misconstrued otherwise.
WHAT IS SOCIAL ABOUT THIS GAME ANYMORE?! Answer that question, or stop posting. There is NO SOCIAL ASPECT. There is “Rush dungeons, don’t talk, get loot.” There IS not social.
I mean overall. But yes, Alliance raiding is significantly harder than LFR, because they aren’t afraid to kill you if you’re stupid. They even give you a little badge so everyone knows you failed a mechanic (vulnerability stacks) lol.
There’s just a chunk of the WoW playerbase that refuses to do anything, including actually get better at the game.
You’d think that anyone who practices something for 10, 15, maybe 19 now years, is going to get better at it.
And MOST people who do something that long get better at it. That’s why the game’s challenging content has gotten harder and harder over time: Because people are getting better at the game, so the game has to get harder to keep pace.
But some people… they just refuse to improve. But we’ve seen these sorts since vanilla, people you see who are obviously struggling, you try and help them by giving some tips, and they just go into “HOW DARE YOU” mode.
You don’t know me at all. I don’t yell at other people who make mistakes in dungeons. I don’t leave the dungeon when we fail the timer, not even if we are way over it. I try to teach people who are making mistakes.
I am expressing a different opinion than you so you call me toxic. Who is really toxic in this scenario?
Unless youre in a guild…literally nothing because of his sort of player running their mouths at people, making ‘muh mmo’z’ suck so bad that fewer are wanting anything to do with them.
They need to go play THEIR game and stop worrying about MY game time. lmao
Solo content is great. Things like withered training, mage tower and visions were great and should be expanded on.
Unfortunately, too many players have zero interest in anything more than LFR level gameplay. Many think LFR is too difficult. That is the mentality that should not be fostered.
These players you’re talking about have mental health issues, in my opinion. They have made this game part of their identity in many ways. It is not normal to spend 7 days per week posting on a game forum attacking people that levy criticism. It is borderline crazy behavior.
Let people vent if they want, it doesn’t have any effect on your game play. I never understood why people have to white knight on these forums for the game.
Your experience in a dungeon isn’t mine. I run dungeons with friends and occasionally pug. I meet and play with new people all the time. It is social. If it is not for you maybe you are just not a social person?
Eh, I do a lot of LFR and almost never see any toxicity. It’s like Sunday school compared to epic bgs. If it got turned to a scenario, normal should get queued (without buffs)
I wouldn’t play WoW if it wasn’t for the social aspect. As a single-player game, WoW honestly isn’t that good. There are certainly far superior alternatives. (Hundreds if not thousands, in fact.)
The game is social if you want it to be.
Find a guild, play exclusively with them. That’s what I do, that’s what MANY people do. Anybody can play the game socially, if they want to.
