Wow is dead lets all go play FF14 lets go bois until change

If blizzard doesn’t put player power behind something no one does it period.

It happened to scenarios it happened to challenge modes. They tried the whole equal pvp gear in legion and people didn’t like it.

People wonder why covenants and torghast have power attached to them. If they didn’t no one would do them. Look at pet battles archeology and crafting and again look at what happened to scenarios, challenge modes and proving grounds.

I’m playing bc too right now and crafting is far more popular there than in retail, wanna know why? Professions can all give bis gear like blacksmith weapons or spellstrike gear.

Same, if we get another large content drought, I might try it again.

For me it’s not the voice-acted cut scenes. It’s that in WoW, even if it’s just a Dwarf saying “How are ya’”, it’s that ever NPC speaks. Yes, the dialog gets boring after a while, it adds a level of immersion that you don’t get with written dialog.

Granted FF has a major presence in Japan and English-speaking countries, so it would be a huge effort to add all that dialog, but it would help break the silence that not even background music can cover. (Also, WoW’s background music is better.)

Wrong people do things in MMOs because they enjoy them. If there is no player power in M+ then it’s now going to be a far better place for fair competition. Just like players don’t want gear tied to Arena. That is why there are Mega threads asking for PvP gear fixes and to remove ranks.

You won’t find anyone that thinks there should be player power in Arena because players want everyone to have access to gear so they can compete. People like Arena because they like competition.

People do all sorts of things in this game without player power tied too it because… they enjoy it.

People hate M+ though and when you tie player power in there now they are forced to do it or quit WoW. You don’t need that type of toxicity. SL is the worst for a lot of reasons.

Yet SL is the worst expansion ever created and unsalvageable. They really should just let it die while everyone enjoys other games. Then Blizz needs to take notes on what other games are doing and figure out how to make a good expansion again.

I heard bfa was the worst expansion and wod also cata. I’m pretty sure people said bc and wotlk were the worst too.

And I’m not just talking out of my rear here. Blizzard DID try to make stuff not give player power and every last one of them died except pet battles which I imagine is low maintenance enough to be worth keeping up with. It’s not like they even attempt to balance it or anything.

People are still making these threads?

The day i would leave wow hummmm, how about this when there will be world peace OUTSIDE wow i will leave it or when wow offcially declares they are shutting it down untill then i aint leaving man:)

Sorry but BFA and WoD are far better expansions than SL. In every way from zones, class design, player power and gearing. Also Cata was infinitely better than the last several expansions.

If they want a good game then they should do it again. Most of the people that do M+ don’t want to be in M+ which creates a toxic environment. M+ is the worst I rather lick windows. So it sucks that there is gear progression in there. It’s one of the reasons I can’t get into Retail anymore because of these awful forced chores.

Also the toxic weekly vault needs to be removed. There should be vendors. If you have Valor you should buy 252 gear at the Vendor, no rating required. Keep it simple and people will play.

Sorry many are going to disagree with you on what is healthy. SL is the worst gearing expansion with massive chores list. Players moved on. They had enough.

The Devs need to create a game where we want to waste our time in, not create a game that wastes our time. Other games are better at it now.

Ffxiv has garbage pvp Therefore I can’t do so.

Well for one I like m+ and don’t find it a chore.

And if they go back to not tying power to it won’t even be worth the development cost cause the majority of wow players won’t touch it, which is why they stopped trying in the first place.

Where are all these people who like such content? Blizzard feels that kind of content isn’t worth the cost considering they scrapped all of it. Seems like they are the ones in the minority here.

Yea I heard that but can’t verify as I never played it. One reason I’m looking forward to New World as well between PvP to gathering and crafting. It’s gonna be fun theorycrafting some builds.

If the majority of players don’t touch it because it has no power rewards then it’s bad for the game and should be scrapped. Not sure why you can’t see that.

If it’s fun and good then players will do it even if there is no player power attached to it. Since it’s you know… enjoyable and fun. You know the reason we play games.

You are in the minority there. I want to do dungeons 2-3 times and be done with them for the expansion. I don’t want to do them over and over again wasting my time. You said it yourself players didn’t do M+ when there was no gear rewards proving that players hate M+. Most players look at M+ as chores that has to be completed before the fun starts.

Playing other games now since System lands is convoluted trash. Dreamt up by Elitist that think everything needs power attached to it instead of making a good game.

Never thought much about that. But when I did play WoW it was played completely muted except in cutscenes.

Hard disagree
WoW had a few outstanding tracks, but tracks in FFXIV are superior all around.

That is the claim, even from people who play FFXIV, but who have admitted to have never tried PvP and is just repeating what someone else said.

Fact of the matter is, FFXIV players are not at all a majority PvP-based playerbase, and they are largely PvE-players who spew that PvP sucks - just like any PvE player in WoW will say that PvP sucks.

It is nothing new.

As someone who have done PvP in both, I do not feel a difference.
I also do not feel a difference in the combat too, so… eh. FFXIV is slower in the beginning but is faster than WoW at the end. That is all I can say about that.

WoW combat is click ability, wait for cooldown, click ability, wait for cooldown, click ability, wait for cooldown.

FFXIV combat is click ability - click ability - click ability - click ability - click ability - click ability - wait for cooldown - click ability - click ability - click ability - click ability - click ability.

This is based on when you are max level, both of them.

get outta here with that FF14 BS

ESO is a different cup of tea too - the big thing is do NOT go in with a wow mindset. ESO has 5 skills(selectable from many)+1 ultimate skill that’s charged up. The world is very big and open and quests are all voice narrated too! But the catch is, the combat is different from wow. Basic attacking is common on top of skills - you don’t just spam skills like in wow.

But I don’t like ffx, I have the free version and I can’t stand to even play that.

Until I can pay for a FF14 sub with gil, no.

Challenge modes= couldn’t survive more than 1 expansion cause of how dead it was. Apparently all the people who want side content that isn’t tied to power didn’t keep it alive.

M+= Super popular and is something they are now calling one of their pillars along with raids and arena. They even made an esport out of it.

It doesn’t matter if you think everyone hates m+ (they don’t). Blizzard looks content at popularity. If all these people hated m+ so much you’d think they would burn out after doing it for what… 6 years now?

That is the problem with WoW.
It is an esports game, not a MMORPG.
And it is why it is dying too.

Thank you.

This should never ever ever ever ever ever EEEEEEEEEEEEVER happen.
Worst decision the WoW team ever had.

you mean 4 hours of story and 404 hours of filler garbage content you are forced to trudge through and have no options, to get out of.

lmao
