I don’t think this was meant to be a serious thread, but I wanted to add my two cents.
It very much works both ways.
So you can get people blaming the community but it is also on Blizzard and what they make for us to play.
So no one is really perfect here. Some of the community doesn’t have to be so highly competitive.
Blizzard can put in more encouraging content for big groups to get rewards.
See this wouldn’t make much sense but for instance… in Torghast you get a group of over 30ish-40ish people and the rewards be insurmountable to something you can complete solo.
This would encourage a greater team dynamic and lots of fun times with big groups of people. Not your typical five man dungeon stuff. I don’t consider five man to be a big group tho personally.
It’s nice to have a big group of people working towards the same objective. This is probably why I didn’t mind Warfronts as much as some others. Expect they made it so easy people would AFK.
Another example of big group would be Ashran even.
These are the things I get the most enjoyment out of. While this probably is not as plausible or realistic with what they are doing with Torghast.
It would’ve been nice if they could’ve added a new big group activity for everyone to participate in again. Even though people complained a lot about Warfronts. I actually participated in them for a long time this expansion.
I honestly can’t think of anything that was advertised in SL that has this to offer players.
Some are demonstrably elite. Some are wannabes who have recently gotten a small amount of success. And some appear to be forum alts of raiders who are hiding their forum trolling from their guild.

Wow literally just watched you get flagged. You have some points, though unpopular, so I guess thems the breaks.
The fact is we all play for a bit of an ego boost though. When our characters perform, we are happy, when they don’t, we reroll or find another option. So what you’re saying isn’t necessarily untrue, but it is what it is, people are going to derive ego from a sense of accomplishment like water is wet.

I don’t track people’s accounts. But this is at least the third Ralph character he has been spamming the forums with.
Sometimes I get bored, but I’ve noticed its mainly since he’s well…dodging
That is pretty sad, imagine hiding yourself from others because you are too scared your true self wont be accepted.
Meanwhile from what I ve been told multiple people from my guild have been contacted about me posts in the forums and the gm’s suggestion to everyone was to troll that person who contacted them with a “stopposting” character xD
Even funnier, that person refereed to the forums as “ruining our beloved forums” which was hilarious xD
Sorry when something is wrong and unhealthy it gets stopped else it deteriorates to worse degrees and becomes even bigger of a problem.
Ion finally realized the community has reached a point where devs have to intervene, and they are starting to do it for the betterment of the game and community.
Pretty sure I posted on all the chars I was maining at the time, i started after the patch of 8.3 on a vulpera lock, then went to my panda spriest, then panda rogue, then went to a panda hunter, then panda mage, then back to the spriest and now I decided to be a cute fat lazer chicken uwu
how about when you spam forums and the moderation staff and the other users have realized it’s unhealthy but your mental imbalance forces you to constantly find workarounds to the stoppage implemented?

I just want to add that the fact that Ralph uses “uwu” makes me have a lower opinion of him than any of his hating on tryhards ever did.

Yep, it’s because they’re using an off-the-shelf forum package known as Discourse, which unlike the old custom-written forum software they used to use has no real understanding of characters or bnet/WoW accounts. Each character having its own forum account is something of a hack.
Great deflection there m8, completely ignoring my point of unhealthy behaviors and attitudes, at this point I feel bad for all the mods who have to keep reading my walls of text before restoring them because I have an angry mob against me.
Thankfully angry mobs dont dictate the forums rules so they know who deserves bans and who doesnt. Feel free to delude yourself and call my threads spam though, it shows how you live on your own reality and not the one the real world is in
