I would be more concerned about having my news access limited in Canada than having my WoW battle pet access limited.
But hey that’s a me thing. Don’t bite too hard.

I feel that. Fortunately, our version is on the way out.

We both know you deliberately chose to ignore the fact they hid the geography limit in 4 point font at the bottom of the page which in turn makes you a dishonest actor who nobody should take seriously.
Can I have your gold?
Do charge backs. It’s not a mess and only people who are scared of talking to people on the phone think it’s a mess lol
Gold please
OP is the type who scrolls past terms of use just so they can click yes and move on. Then gets mad over something they didn’t take the time to read lmao
Hey Blackdamian,
I completely understand your frustration. As a fellow Canadian and long-time fan of the game, I’ve found myself in the exact same situation. It’s baffling and deeply disappointing that they’re punishing players simply for not living in the USA. I also didn’t catch the fine print about the in-game pets being US-exclusive until after the purchase, and it feels incredibly unfair—especially since it’s not clearly stated at checkout.
This system feels like a deliberate attempt to capitalize on player loyalty without providing the same benefits to all regions. They should absolutely be upfront about these restrictions, in bold, at the top of the product page or during checkout. The lack of refunds and clarity just adds insult to injury.
It’s really disheartening to see a company we’ve supported for so long take advantage of fans like this. We’re willing to pay for their products, but this kind of treatment is just unacceptable. You’re not alone in feeling this way—this situation makes it hard to justify continuing to support them.
US resident, it Took my ice murlock code a week and a half if not 2 weeks to come in, i thought it was because it was technically a preorder at the time.
My thrall code took a few hours.
It could just be a slow email process, but when the code comes in it allows you to pick your region when you redeem it
I brought both last night and got both codes right away in my email…my early Christmas Pressie to me…
Sigh…you folks just don’t listen do you…its not Blizzard or the Gear Stores fault now you can’t get digital pet in game its your countries laws and rules that prevent it …not something blizzard has a say in now…they have to follow the rules of other countries or face lawsuits and fines…same goes for that Mt Dew Cycle now…same thing…
I’m not deliberately hiding anything. I have no skin in the game. I just have common sense. There were zero predatory practices used. It’s the consumer’s responsibility to read all documentation before making a purchase.
The 2nd paragraph on the item in the store says
“ Exclusions and a modified return policy apply. See terms and conditions for details.”
Then the 6th paragraph on the same page with emphasized text it specifically calls out that Canada is excluded.
“ Purchase the World of Warcraft Murloc Thrall 6.5" Plush through the Blizzard Gear Store and receive a digital code for an exclusive Murloc Thrall pet for use in World of Warcraft ("Game’); not eligible for use for any other game. Available only to US customers (excludes Canada and Mexico), age 18 and over, with a valid US billing address. Use of code(s), including redemption periods and availability, may be subject to additional terms.”
Nothing hidden and not even small text
I’m pretty sure if you do a charge back blizzard bans your account. That may just be for your sub but I doubt it.
Talk to your politicians, it’s not Blizzard.
Finally some body understands it now…
AMERICA! Plush yea! Virtual pets to save the M.O.T.H.E.R. (Ulduar) raid yea!
Blizzard should put anything involving money in large font so it’s crystal clear. Not fine print where you need a magnifying glass to see it.
Being called a kid by someone advising someone else to do a chargeback when they received what was advertised is…well it’s irony on a base level, really.
Without even reading beyond this, i already know ya dun gooft n played yaself.
