Wow I think this is finally it for me, the final straw. I got robbed by blizzard

I hope you get your refund but never assume the reward is available to you. Different countries have different laws regarding promotions. Blame Canada for it not being available there.

If you threw the items in the trash, you’re screwed. Also, in the shop for both items it says “FOR US CUSTOMERS ONLY” under the terms and conditions of which you’re told to read before you purchase the item. Of course it’s pretty shady to do that since it’s all a wall of text, but it only took around 10 seconds for me to see the US only thing.

I am currently accepting applications

Wow @Greekthunder. Judge much?

It is a bit weird though that as Canadians we can order pets in the shop, and get them from twitch promotons, or prime gaming promotions or even youtube promotions… but ordering from the gear store is a nope?

I think they could have set that product up differently so that it was available to everyone. :upside_down_face:

MERICA!! YEeaahaaaaa.

In case you didn’t know, everything over here is smoke and mirrors. Anything you are ever promised is a facade. We are merely a mirage.

UPDATE:
To add insult to injury and a nice slap in the face they tried to charge me import tax of close to $30 on top of all the money I paid for nothing and now I really have nothing as I of course did not pay the import tax and now the items are being sent back without ever having received them, the website says all sales are final and there are no cancelations or refunds, I assume because of the supposed code that is sent out when you order the items EXCEPT THAT I DONT GET A CODE lol… so Im out $140 with no in game pet codes and no physical products. This truly will be the end of wow for me, I dont care in the slightest that the gear store is not run directly by blizzard. This is just too much for me to accept.

When I didnt receive the email with codes I immediately tried to cancel the order, but it was apparently after hours so they sent my request to email, of course they conveniently sent the order out the next day before responding to my request for cancelation.

Blizzard support has nothing to do with this, there is no help to be sought from them for those that keep advising to go to them.

To those wondering why I would pay money for in game pets, I was a major collector, when my collecting is up to date for the expansion I’m usually in the top 100 collections in the world. You like pvp? I like pets.

To those of you that think its logical and right for small print far down the page to exclude the gear store from any wrong doing you are obviously VERY American, that kind of predatory business methodology is NOT normal through out the world. People shouldnt be on guard and wary, reading paragraphs and paragraphs of disclaimers (FOR A FREAKING PLUSHIE) just in case they will not get the item that is advertised in bold at the top of the page as if its available to everyone. If that all makes sense to you, well you are living in a different world as I.

Blizzard has nothing to do with codes for in game pets not being available to Canadians, that is Canadian law that prevents that. Im not angry in the slightest that I couldnt get the codes for in game pets, that is annoying sure, but Im beyond angry I got robbed $140 and cant let that go.

Been playing for 20 years and spent thousands of dollars on this game, and would have continued to spend a lot of money in the future but they are losing that future revenue due to using a company that has shady business practices for part of their product. All they had to do was put “Not available in your region” at the top or at checkout to warn Canadians they only get half a product. They deliberately do not CLEARLY warn customers because they want that income from Canada from mistaken orders, yes legally they are covered because waaaay down the page hidden among several paragraphs of small print is a disclaimer… that doesnt make it right.

Its always someone else’s fault, huh. There is always a slap in the face or its predatory :sweat_smile::joy:. Take accountability for your actions.

True :us:.

For the love of God you are acting like I had relations with 7 strangers and am now a pregnant single mother, my “actions” you want me to take accountability for are for trying to buy an in game pet without reading several paragraphs of small text disclaimers, who on earth (aside from jaded americans) reads disclaimers on a stuffed toy!?!?!?!

not really , when you decide to post here , accept the criticism too

It wasnt even small text, lol. Just more excuses.

FINAL UPDATE: So I didnt accept the package and its being sent back to the gear store and the store has actually been very nice and agreed to refund the items without even filling out the form (your supposed to fill out a physical form when you get the items to then send that form back with the items but since I never accepted the items I have no form to fill out, if I had accepted the items I would have had to pay another $30 Canadian import fees and that was not going to happen). So I did lose about $35 Canadian for the shipping but will get back about $100 Canadian in refund. I didnt really log on for the past 2 weeks since this fiasco started as I completely lost my interest in the game due to this but since they are giving me a refund I feel a whole lot better and will probably keep playing.

Fat lady hasn’t sung yet-
You haven’t received your refund yet.

And the idea with a lot of blizzard’s sales nonsense is you cast a wide net to trick a vast majority of players, only a few will bother you for a refund, the others will just take the bs. It’s the world we live in now.

i mean, you are kinda dumb for buying 120 bucks worth of stuff you didnt want just for some pixels

Do you buy starbucks, because to me thats insanely dumb, but to each their own right

This. Was so easy. It’s almost at the top of the description, in bold and italics, looks like standard 12-point font. Follow the instructions to the “fine print” at the bottom of the description in italics and ALSO in what appears to be standard 12-point font to see that it is available only in the US.

It always sucks when you make a mistake, but the OP blaming Blizzard for their own reading comprehension issues is lame.

Got my refund

Doing a charge back can get your battlenet account permanently banned when it comes to in game purchases (idk about gear store), it’s better to get a refund.
