Yes you absolutely should just suck it up and deal with it, how your level 80 and less than 600 ilvl is bewildering to me. I capped a blood dk last week, within the first day of capping i had already cleared all of normal raid and 6/8 of heroic. I ended my first full day on my fresh level 80 bdk at 613 ilvl. Stop doing trivial content and then blaming others for your lack of fun when, it is in fact you who is to blame for queing for content that isnt fun. Outtside of the first few weeks of an expansion dropping while waiting for the first season to release, theres no reason to be running heroic or normal dungeons. Look in LFG, plenty of people running m0s for you to get a key. But wait, theres an npc you can even get that from now. Oh, and people are easily running +2s at 570 ilvl currently since thats roughly the gear level that content is geared towards. I just dont get people who complain about other people when all their problems are self inflicted. Shame.
I agree but people will find another way to judge someone, either from HP pool or achievements.
I feel the same way, its not fun for me anymore retail sucks. Ive been playing hardcore wow and its more of a fit for me now.
This is only true if you change the definition of MMORPG for agenda reasons.
When a person says this, I know they aren’t here honestly.
Exhibit A
Say what you really mean, You disagree because of the second comment, not because I am wrong. And no, I have no agenda. Look around and you will see all that stuff is now being removed from all forms of media for the most part.
And the fact that Classic WoW is IMHO and many others a True MMORPG as oppsed to the log in sim. But again please do let one bias create another in the sake of feelings over facts.
Been saying for years this game doesn’t need add ons and it really shouldn’t need it .
I froze my sub again. I’ll be back to see if S2 is any good.
Something snapped last night, I think it was the heal absorb affix. I decided I don’t want to heal another key until next season, especially on Disc how it is currently.
The state of spot healing on Disc is really grim. I’d rather go back to Resto Druid if I’m just gonna be blanket AOE over healing the entire time, but we’ll see after the Priest “rework”.
WoW isnt focused on pronouns and feelings
it is a MMORPG.
Stop being so easily offended.
It doesnt need add ons.
You are right.
Hey. You don’t have to use addons
I love how people say this and out themselves as illiterate.
Akston used pretty concise language, you just didn’t understand.
That fixes another issue cata has so it is of some benefit.
See in cata we keep stratification here. the outland folks won’t be in even our BRD after like 61. the 50’s won’t be in the 40 runs. On down the line.
wrath 70+ won’t be in slave pens anymore.
cata 80 takes away some from the wrath pulls. they can only do runic alphas (our mythic light) for wrath off rdf.
Issue…rdf gets slow as hell sometimes. if there aren’t that many level 20’s on at the time, you get lots and lots of quest time in.
retail mixing it up gets you more pops. And in places like helya…ngl I wasn’t complaing about scaling have some dude low level smack her silly.
Someone has to, we jsut lost 2-3 dudes to water holes. And its not like 2-3 wipes later that will improve most times.
Doesn’t and shouldn’t are two different things. You’re right that it shouldn’t need add-ons. But the base UI is heavily lacking in many many places for various functions. Add-ons fill those QoL gaps like they always have.
In a lot of other games, the devs actually pay attention to the modding and add-on communities. They often work to bake common improved functionality that originated from the mods and add-ons into the base game so that it doesn’t need those add-ons any more to be QOL functional.
Blizz has gotten better at doing this in recent years. But there is still a long way to go.
Unfortunately, they often will take shortcuts or half-measures instead of full on addressing UI problems. A perfect example is the Inky Black Potion existing instead of the graphic UI having a toggle or slider for dark mode.
I quit playing retail about 3 months ago now and I just started playing the classic anniversary servers. I’m enjoying that far more than I did retail. The people are overall more friendly, levels actually matter and it’s not a constant race to time some dungeon for a number and lock in gear next while MAYBE getting a drop at the end that you may not even need.
I just got bored as a tank and everyone is a critic but nobody is signing up to play tank and “do better.” You make one mistake and suddenly you’re being berated and called an idiot. Meanwhile, they’re over there standing in stuff, not dodging mechanics and then they turn their focus to the healer. It’s just dumb at this point, maybe I’m becoming an older gamer and don’t care for it enough anymore but I think some of those points are still valid.
Play M+ and the DPS actually will go splat.
Make your own group, list it as “chill” or “learning group,” and people will join because you are a tank. Watch them go splat if they rip threat from you. You’ll get IO and M+ experience too.
Siren Isle is absolutely dreadful. Plus i feel like a couple of my DPS alts got shadow nerfed for damage? Either it’s the ring or some sort of nerf to keep us on the treadmill towards better gear grinds. Either way it’s depressing over there.
I’ve been leveling alts in more entertaining expansions. I refuse to take my lvl 70 to Dorn until the patch comes out.
Oh, is this a “someone did something I don’t like in LFD” thread? yeah, best to just ignore OP.
Nothing is up to you, insignificant nobody.
Sit down, nobody asked you.
Who cares about dps meters in mixed dungeons?
As long as we send the baddies to the arbiter, what does it matter?
Dunno why people get so bent out of shape of old side content like this. Who cares if the dps pulls and dies? just keep going and ignore them. It’s just lowbie dungeons it doesn’t even matter.
It sounds like you are the one obsessed with damage charts in irrelevant content. Just uninstall details, let the dps die and move on bro.
I never said it was focused on it. They have added some to it, and it hasn’t helped in anyway. If anything its caused more issues than its worth. And now that pendulum is swinging back the other way a lot of it will start to go away or be removed.
Also another cool fact, the reason ANY of it was added… is because people were offended it wasn’t in the game. Kettle - Pot, you know all that jazz. But again that was a small point you picked out because of… dun dun dun… Feelings! Congrats we are getting somewhere.
And no, Retail is NOT a MMORPG anymore. Its a MMOG. Thats it.
Classic is a MMORPG.
I want them to hire people with a passion, drive and skill to do this stuff. Not someone just doing it for a job or to ruin peoples love of gaming. I want this to feel like a MMORPG again. Anyhow…
Talk to you soon, I’m sure
