Million dollar idea, what if we kept Timewalking vendors active 24/7 in their respective spots, and converted all the old expansion specific currencies to Timewarped badges come the end of a new expansion? And put old 0.01% rare drops on the expansion vendor along with new stuff. BOOM instant reason to do old legacy raids and dungeons.
Also it’d clean up the complain going on that we have hundreds of currencies just clogging up the currency page and even sometimes bag space.
Ngl, the idea that 4 people should just tag along and not have fun with big numbers of their own in “trivial content” is why I don’t bother with it any more. If I need trivial content I don’t pick anything that needs a pug. I don’t watch people play a game on youtube, I’m certainly not going to do it in game.
Used to just put the level locked twinks on ignore but it seems like every tank in lfg is one of these anymore. Oh well.
The wow anniversary event is about to be done. There will be no more mixing of levels until a timewalking week comes around again. These fast track leveling, free for all fun dungeon runs will be gone. Along with mount mania and the transmog competition. I’m going to severely miss it.
Or I suppose the level mixing is still there a bit isn’t it… lol but not to the severity it is now. It will go back to normal.
Oh for sure. Blizz has a history of listening to the wrong feedback.
A consequence of which is that experienced players need to learn to expect to overcome poor play in higher end pugs. Not sure how people are still shocked that you can make it to 10s without being able to recite the dungeon mechanics in order of appearance.
Then why are you tanking? Try melee or caster, maybe even healer, but with druid, try boomer. Boomer druid is a lot of fun, maybe not at the top of the charts, but it is a lot of fun.
WoW is in the perfect position to be knocked off rn. Classic really keeps it afloat.
If the market didn’t die because everybody trying to copy the same gameplay loops we are bored of here it prolly would of been dethroned for good during SL.
Retail WoW needs to die for market to fix itself.
I’m rooting for AoC. Already have a bunch of friends on the alpha who haven’t logged in to WoW in ages. I’ll probably disappear soon myself if World Soul ends up being mid. Rn it already kinda is mid.
I like DPS meters, and without it I probably won’t play as it won’t be fun. I play for competitive edge honestly. BUT— I do agree that in lower keys, this should barely matter.
Tanks and healers need buffed again imo as well and I think that would make the game more fun to many. Healing and tanking should require as much effort as dpsing does. I don’t see why not.
You know, it will be 19 years for me this January, and as much as I love the game, and have invested 10s of thousands of hours of playtime… I get it. We’re halfway through the 10th DLC, and I am not certain how much more I can really get out of the game. I was stoked about Earthen, but that story fizzled pretty quick.
I’ve done most of the Legacy stuff, and don’t care for PvP or M+. Even the RP community is on the decline. I’ve been watching this game fade for years now, and kept hoping against all odds for a Race/Class combo unlock, but there is a good chance I will never see the arrival of Gnome Druids or Paladins. Normally, I overlook most I quit threads, but after the last 3 months, maybe it is time.
As much as I hate to say it, that “long time” likely is the reason they’ll never fix the root causes of it. If anything, Blizz has only further leaned into the designs and behaviours that it represents.
The game is likely too far gone for this behaviour to be amended, the fraction of the playerbase who don’t want the rush are either actively avoiding group content in its entirety or have left the game for greener pastures.
Changing the game won’t bring these players back, they don’t trust Blizz to fix it and/or expect there to be some kind of catch. The changes would also alienate the remaining playerbase.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
If you don’t find the game fun, just leave.
Don’t “wait for it to get better” before doing so.
Give Blizz the one message they’ll understand, deny them your money. Only consider coming back when there’s something worth your time.
