WoW Dropping Back to #3 Most Popular MMO This Weekend

bro u just mad cuz ur stupid

Given that I like World of Warcraft for many things that not many people would, the fact that it is not “the most popular MMORPG” or it does not make an effort to be at any cost is a positive point to me.
If it had to endure severe budget cuts and some delays because it does not abide to the trends of the “pop culture” of the moment, I would be ok.
Nothing that is made to abide to everyone’s wishes is the best to even a single person.

No it doesn’t. Clearly you don’t know what you are talking about.

The NW Devs said that launch is just the beginning and that these types of games need to be co-created with the players. Imagine if Blizz Devs valued their players and created content with them, instead of not listening to the players and saying we are playing the game wrong.

Huge contrast and I enjoy the interaction with the NW devs where here you get silence. Again Blizz needs to take notes on what other companies are doing. It starts with actually caring about the playerbase.

why are you on this forum then lol?

Why am I on multiple game forums? :man_facepalming: I love gaming and purchased and play other games. I just play WoW like everyone else now which is 1-3 months a year. It used to be home now WoW is only a place you visit from time to time.

Mmo populations literally just uses reddit to “calculate” its player numbers and people still reference it. It’s a formula based on active users * subscriber count.

damn coming to back to game who according to you has devs that dont value their player? what logic

I don’t know why you are threatened by people talking about what other games do better than WoW. Not sure why you are trying to troll and talk about me instead of the topic.

I have already stated the issue with WoW is player retention among many other things. Most players now play this game 1-3 months a year and I am one of those players. It used to be a place you would call home now it’s a place you visit from time to time. My visit is now over and my Sub runs out in 2 days. We can use this thread as hopefully something the Devs start paying attention too, since they need too.

Again the Blizz Devs need to change their philosophies and improve massively in many areas. Especially communications with it’s player base. Whether WoW survives is now in their hands but the rest of the year will be telling for them if they can respond to 2 other MMO becoming the most popular as WoW now drops back too #3.

Go on the NW forums, you will see massive Dev and player communication on issues and answers to resolving those issues. The Devs even responding and asking for more info so they can investigate issues.

Look that’s just ur opinion and not a fact. You are entitled to opinions just stop pretending they are facts.

Cope and seethe says the person literally still “caring” to post about a game they clearly abandoned and left a long time ago. Just leave and stop coming back if its so easy for you socialist psychopaths.

The combat is fine, its hard, you’re suppose to think before you engage a mob, in pvp you have to plan ahead and dodge incoming attacks, its not a tank slap fight. Is it perfect? No, but is it good? Yeah for an mmo its pretty damn good. Nothing is more satisfying than outplaying someone with a sweep into dive melee + light attack before finishing them off with a spear toss.

My rule of MMOs is “wait a few months” to see if it has longevity.

Its not overhyped, the content on launch is huge, people are playing for 20+ hours farming. There is easily 300 hours worth of content on a launch, thats a win. Look I get it, wow is your favorite game, it was mine too, but its time to put other mmos on the hotspot, the more hype New World and other mmos get the more Blizzard has to wake up. The game is beautiful, it feels like a Triple AAA game. I want to support developers like this, more encouragement and it seems like they’re listening to feedback.

This isn’t a small indie studio, this is freaking Amazon for jeez sake, I firmly believe they want to dominate the gaming market now, after a few blunders they finally landed with a pretty good game. Will it completely overtake wow? Probably not, but Blizzard Activistion doesn’t have funds like Amazon does and if Amazon revisits LOTR, there is no amount of copium for WoW to defend against that.

I’m just imagining the Shire, Gondor, Aman, Mordor in New World graphics my lord.

Alot of people were saying in faction chat they it feels like WoW classic, that feeling that they were missing, the social community is something else. I haven’t felt this way in a long time and when I get time I’m itching to play.

New world has no end game. The professions are extremely well done but that will buy them a month at most.

Most people aren’t even close to end game, and for the most part people are pvping. The majority of the fun is pvp right now.

New World will not have systems like WOW does, there isn’t going to be a mythic plus, we’ll get raids and new areas to explore and new weapons to master. But the bulk of it is exploration and PVP to fight for new lands.

The end game is outposts and war, you have to get picked based on how prepared you are.

Not sustainable.

We’ll see.

Biggest philosophy they need to change is that players (the majority of them) want a casual game where the competitive aspects of the game don’t interfere or interact with the rest of the game.

Hence why we saw so many people leave and stay in FF14.

The combat is terrible. It may be an enjoyable pvp experience for you, but it is anything but smooth combat. Take ESO, for instance. They have a very similar action combat system. There are ground aoe abilities that need to be placed. But all the light attacks, heavy attacks and abilities auto lock to compensate for mot having true targeting like every other mmo. It works.

Have you tried to play new world with the life staff or the flame staff? Not everyone is an ape, running around playing melee in every game.
