Greetings, my g/f and I are both Samsung Galaxy users and have Sprint as our carrier. While we can connect to the WoW Companion app just fine through our home wifi, we are unable to connect through regular data usage, such as on lunch breaks at work (no work wifi). We have unlimited mobile data, and the data saver feature is turned off for the WoW app in the phone settings. Is this a known issue that is being addressed? Or can we only use this app at home…where we don’t need it…?
There’s another thread about this issue already, and it seems it’s because T-Mobile uses IPv6 in some areas, which aren’t supported by some of Blizzard’s mobile apps. Perhaps the steps from the staff in this thread about mobile Hearthstone will help:
Same issue here with the wow app, Samsung Note 10+ on T-Mobile. Works on WiFi but not mobile network.
As mentioned, you need to use IPv4 on T-Mobile to use the Blizzard mobile apps. The apps do not support IPv6 connections.
Same… is this intended?? If so its not right…
I followed the instructions Elocin posted which are also found here

Easy enough to follow and it did the trick.
I upgraded from a Galaxy S7 to S20+ and suddenly the companion app would not connect outside my wifi network.
Following the steps mentioned, it now works again just like it did before.
Note: I have t-mobile.
