The first time? Just waited. Ditto second time… and now third time I’m stuck on black background on the same.
Login Boss is OP. NERF NOW!!!
Speaking of Blizzard spawning things, it would be nice to actually see, you know, a Game Master in the game? That’d be about as Classic as Classic gets. That’s assuming they can log in.
I got in twice to charcater screen. My old one never showed so tried making another twice. Both times was disconnected
I got lucky and managed to log in before the black screen of denial. Logged onto my character and into a very laggy server. I already explained my experiences, though, and I did get booted out.
I’m assuming blizz is using either azure, aws, or google for their presence so not having compute resources cannot be the issue. This would have to be code.
there was a GM in the last test. he only had the hand of rag equipped and was attacking a boss. then he flew away. it’s on youtube somewhere.
They actually were in game during the first round of spawning.
blizzard has their own datacenters. i’m not sure if they supplement to aws in case something happens to their datacenters, but i imagine all of this is being tested on their actual hardware that they control
Even better then, because its times like these where we could use them just hanging out for the hell of it. Sadly wasn’t in Stormwind for… obvious reasons.
It would make sense the first 2 hours of the “stress test” are two hours of server stress testing with many different variables applied for optimal and worse case scenarios. The following ~26 hours will most likely be actual in game testing.
However I’m not qualified to talk about it.
This is very stressful
The goal of a stress test is to bust the server, and find the breaking point. and since the biggest bottleneck is going to be login, then character creation, everything is going swimmingly.
A lot of us just honestly don’t want a server dominated by one or two monolithic figures who are being followed around by loyal sycophants and basically getting dibs on everything in the game. Some of us just want to play with other “scrubs” like us and claw our own legacy out. Just a thought, mate.
I really doubt that in today’s IT community. If you want to be a global entity and not worry about paying capex for hardware the cloud is where you go. If they haven’t done that then yep they are way behind the times.
Same thing is happening here
Thats why I’ll be playing RP/RPPvP
then go to another server and do it ? Mate
there’s going to be like 40+ servers, and there’s probably like 5 “monolithic” streamers willing to stream wow as their primary game. just avoid the servers they’re on if you don’t want to deal with that.
That’s what guilds are for, get your own group of people to counter their group
