If there’s more then the 2-3 servers per type they screwed up.
Vanilla can’t survive with low pop servers

It’s likely an accurate assumption.
If anyone is streaming you can probably see that in just 1 of the several starting locations there are hundreds of people, suggesting that a couple thousand are logged in and playing.
The fact that others can’t get in is simply because the server is stressed and cannot accept additional players - which is the point of this test.
I think we should be more concerned with if we can get streamers to be on opposite factions from each other. The amount of all out bloodbath on PVP servers and huge zone wide battles will be glorious.
There was one on the first test that almost all of us could not get into
I actually look forward to the community feeling that the guilds provided in vanilla. There actually was a true camaraderie.
Not true!!! There is only one server to play the beta on and it will remain broken/buggy till people loose interest in the game and the server can handle the amount of people again.
OR
they are testing the popularity of the game?
The one positive about big streamers on a server is that the economy will start hopping faster.
Just make sure you swim far enough around the cove such that your minimap label changes to Loch Modan or Dun Morogh.
Still can’t login. I would gladly accept full beta access as compensation.
Do you really want to be on a server with streamers? My guild did a hard no.
This. Or at-least that’s the route it looks like the devs are taking. Because I remember right after they announced the first stress-test was over, I was able to log in and create a character seamlessly (despite the world server down for a couple hours) after that it was smooth sailing. I truly believe they are completely manipulating the login servers so 95% of us can’t log in to truly get the best data they can while they have such high traffic; no matter how much it pisses us off.
We will get to level to 10 eventually between now and 22hrs from now. People just need to be patient and remember this is all for getting the most optimal experience for launch.
What the hell do you think wow is?
Cloud is just another term for “internet” that gets people excited, because it’s something “different” (but it’s not).
WoW has always been an internet based game, a.k.a. cloud based game, and was one of the first do it at this scale, so they’re definitely not behind the times.
They did give us Beta for a hot minute! it was only visual… but it was there!
Going to be point blank honest and say unless you’re a big name guild that makes the jump or lucky enough to be in a guild that goes that way, even people with relatively small followings are at a giant advantage. It isn’t really fun in that sense. The issue is sort of from a lot of angles. First we don’t know what servers are what yet, we’re still waiting on the actual list. Second, we won’t know quite right away who is going where.
My intent is to avoid them 100% because it isn’t fun conceptually for that. I’d rather, as I said, play with normal population and not the people who are super popular. If that means going to a server where there’s not a lot of them, really any, that’s ideal, but that’s also assuming I can get one. None of us really “know” yet.
Instead we’re sitting here at the login screen trying to psychically manipulate it so we can log in while Blizzard flails about in the background trying to figure out what crazy thing got botched this time. Its just how it goes.
Stop complaining about streamers… Don’t join there guild simple, DKP is king.
BGS are going to be unaffected and so will other guilds… streamer guilds probably wont even be a big deal, you can still do whatever you want in the game. If the guild doesn’t work out for you do what everyone else does join another one…
Not even the right topic this is about stress testing.
I wasn’t able to get in to the stress test cause I can’t seem to get in to the server
4pm PDT = 7pm EST
Faesobee, when cloud term is used it means much larger than your single little data center (which in many cases is a colo in somebody elses true data center. When wow launched they were in a colo with physical servers. In today’s world your servers can be virtualized and have presences across many geographical locations. So yes they certainly are behind the times if they are still playing colo.
Iv been sitting Here for an hour waiting to get in
I just want to know, is anyone ACTUALLY in?
