IF this is the case why do they say “minimum” threshhold for rank 14 is 500,000k honor? doesnt that mean you must hit 500,000 to gain any progress toward rank 14 (from 13 ofc)
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. I’ve seen two different calculations showing you can get to rank10 in about 4 weeks. But I’ve also seen it may take 3 weeks just to go from rank13 to rank14 even when hitting the 500k honor cap. Not sure how that would mean you could go from 0-14 in 8 weeks like Blizzard has stated before.
If I provided you with my honor and new rank from rank 0 at 0%, level 60, would you be able to confirm any of your math with it?

Because of the example provided, calculating, Rank 2 to Rank 5, I used the result in my calculation:
Starting from Rank 0.
Week 1: Rank 2
Week 2: Rank 5
Week 3: Rank 6
Week 4: Rank 7
Week 5: Rank 9
Week 6: Rank 10
Week 7: Rank 11
Week 8: Rank 12
Week 9: Rank 13
Week 10: Rank 14
Lets see what happens 
I’m a casual player, so I estimate 3.5 months, if I were starting from 0.

After the reset, I think 3.5 months seems, more effort is required, as a casual player.
204000 honor, brought me from 42% to 92% - Rank 9
So calculations seem to require us to hit thresholds. After these thresholds are met, we take the difference of rank thresholds above our existing rank, applying the respective Rank Change Factor (via multiplication) and taking the sum of each difference - we see if the CP outcome can reach a ranks CP threshold, if it does, that is the rank obtained. Otherwise we move up one rank only.
This was my assumption! Would love to hear what other people think!!! 
I went from R0 on this druid to R3 80% with 27k honor.
It switched over at exactly 8am Pacific without a relog.

noice! I don’t know if mine has updated or if decayed too much. Rank 9 0% and has not moved after 155k honor, was hoping for some progress
I went from 0% Rank 9 to 49% Rank 9 with 233k Honor, so I’d assume you’d have SOME change given the amount needed to maintain 9 is low.
Went from Rank 3 0% to Rank 5 40% with 73584 honor. What are the odds we get any kind of transparency from blizzard on a topic like this?

I went from Rank 3 10%, got 58k honor, and ended lower at Rank 3 0%.
Even your example shows Rank 4 + 50k honor going to rank 5. Why did I go DOWN?
I was rank 4 at 0%. I got 92k honor. I’m now Rank 6 and 30%.
So far nobody’s interpretation of Blizzard’s math is even close to correct.
Rank 7.48 to rank 9.28 with 196249 honor
What Addon did you use to see percentage?
Last week I did not put in a ton of effort, but
73K on a rank 7 Character Was at 0% of Rank 7 and still at 0% Rank 7 (week before decayed 0% from 22% on the week where they did the change of systems.
130K on a Rank 9 Character was at 0% of Rank 9 and now at 0% Rank 9 (this character on the rollover week also decayed to 0% of Rank 9.
Just curious what the minimal maintaining effort would be; thought I had it EZ with some very light progression, but seems I did nothing.

I was went from r12 0% → r12 40% with 460k honor. So that is 2k CP? I don’t think anyone went a full rank even with 500k honor.
I suspect things are very broken after seeing your results.
Wonder when they plan to remedy this.
Perhaps the “CAP” was not actually in place?

I went from rank 0 to rank 4 (60%) with 35,332 honor. Seems like a lot of rank gain for such little honor.
If the above poster is correct then maybe something is not right with the formula.
I went from rank 2 0% to rank 4 60% (same as the above poster) with 40,900 honor.
