Started playing during TBC at age 57… makes me about 72 now.
Just shy of 30, myself.
I started playing near the end of BfA after burning out hard after 8ish years of FFXIV.
52 been playing since beta.

I’m 26 myself.
Certain things to consider before coming to conclusions:
I doubt teens today browse forums as actively as we did/do. Even I don’t usually use forums anymore. I’m only here cause the servers are down.
December is when all of the finals and big projects are due for college students, so they may not have time to play/browse the forums at the moment.

It’s almost like Blizzard knows their player base is aging and are aware that many of us don’t have the time for the grind that we did 10 years ago. This is why I suspect they’re adding more solo friendly options that can be done on each player’s own time schedule.

I am many years above 40.
I’m 60-ish. I’m like an MMO granny now, lol.
And I’ve finally hit the age when popular music makes no sense to me. Taylor Swift? Where are my sloppy-fast guitar solos and lyrics about rebelling against the f’d up world? Aren’t we due for a 3rd or 4th wave of punk?
Anyway, I’m still here. I feel like I need a t-shirt that says “I survived Shadowlands.”
