26 when I started playing but 44 now so I transitioned into being old lol
The usual, normal way: last long enough without dying.
I’m over 40. Glad to see there are others in this boat who still play.
Well over 40 at 54!
Above and Beyond!
I started in my 20s im now in my 40s feels good man!
under.
for eight more months.
Over… By a decade and a half.
As much as you see people write stupid things like “uWu” and “kekw” in chats in this game now, I’d be dumbfounded if the average age was less than 40.
Now I now why people are so grumpy on forums - they’re old as *"±. Rofl, I’m there with you approaching 60.
Over 40 years old. And have been for awhile now.
Over 40 years old
Hit level cap in real life a couple of weeks ago.
Over 40 + 5
I’m looking through the forums trying to figure out the demographics of WoW.
After playing retail for a few days I’m really confused about what age range Blizz thinks plays WoW. I googled the demographics and surprisingly the 50-70yo bracket is the biggest in the info i saw. I know a lot of people in their 30s (like me) play. And it’s an expensive game with the constant expansions and monthly service fee… It’s no wonder that there aren’t many children playing in the free-to-play age. But, the game seems to be written for children. The main beats of the story are pretty good but the dialogue is so tame and bland. The majority of the voice acting sounds like it could be an episode of paw patrol. A little grit and weight to the dialogue would make the story better. The art is forgivable-- always had it’s own great style but, still more soft and childlike than it use to be.
Honestly, I’m confused at what Blizz is trying to go for. It’s too expensive for kids to do on their own so it might be “play this with your kid”.
Baby necro aside, i’ll be 32 earlyish Spring
Under 40 - started playing WoW on release when I was 14.
As many of us probably know, age is a state of mind more than a number. Seriously, I’ve met people in their 20’s who seem more elderly than people I’ve met over 40.
Adolescent mentally. Young adult physically. Ancient spiritually.
Forums in general are going to skew to an older demographic. It’s largely not the medium people use for communication these days outside of profession oriented stuff like stackoverflow.
I know this post in particular is old but the thread is bumped and I wanted to respond to that.
(That said, yeah, WoW’s demographic is older. It doesn’t pull in much new blood, it just has a ton of long-time players that might have been young when they started but aren’t now)
I’m 30, btw.
