Would fresh regular alongside HC be bad for business or smart?

Never going to happen.

Blizz makes too much money off RMT.

oh no not again
Cue Gloria Gaynor.

that talk got wrath reforged the token

It just leads to account theft.

Yeah I’m sure all few hundred of you guys who will stay past the first month will do just fine.

Doesn’t change what I said, which is that most players are there for the rush and thus appealing to them, and making a server that will be basically a ghost town in a handful of weeks is a bad business play.

Blizz’s love of profit got Wrath the token.

Don’t you have a boost to get too on era?

I hate it.
Bleh.

I love it.

It just highlights how hypocritical Blizz is.

I’m still tired of being asked to hold their beer.
BLEH I SAY

Fresh vanilla server right now would go through to Naxx fully populated.

Just need one. Any more would be too thin to spread.

Excited for you getting fresh as seasonal.
Enjoy!

Most everyone playing era right now knows that, but unlike most classic players some of us know blizzard. “Fresh” that isn’t HC is a ways out, its gonna be waiting for the heat death of Era so the quarterly MAU values are kept as High as possible

Get an authenticator

If Blizz were concerned about it, authenticators would be required.

Every “fresh” server dies after AQ opens

That’s fine. I’ll take that.

Bots, gold buying or selling, GDKPS, instance boosts, and paid carries of any kind should all be thanos snapped from existence.

I’d also personally want to see “reserve” runs added to that, but there’s the reality that a tank shortage would just make runs to those dungeons nonexistent (live strat orbs reserved for tank for example being the most common) if the practice where fully eliminated.

So instead of addressing what I said, you say a dismissive one liner.

Wow classic players, really showing up good and “not” demonstrating their painful inability to communicate. Ironic really.

I highly doubt fully populated. I’m not doubting that you can do naxx, but the post is asking if it’s a good business idea to do fresh.

I highly doubt there would be more than 1000 players that make it to naxx on a fresh server, because as we’ve seen before in the few fresh attempts prior, most people leave after a month or so because it isn’t actually fresh. Mostly casuals want fresh, and once their behind, they’re done.

So no, a server for 1000 or so people is not a good business idea.

It’s been awhile so my memory is faulty. When did we have fresh aside from the initial Classic launch?

Actually I need to go to bed so I won’t screw around and wait for your response.

Only fresh we’ve had is SOM, which, in the context of the initial question I posed here, is about as bad for business as any product Blizzard has launched. Half-baked decisions in their changes, but worst of all the timing was as bad as timing can be and is just one of the many issues contributing to its failure.

A standard fresh is a different conversation.

I think you are simply not right.
There are as I see it many different player types in Era, but 2 main subsets.
No. 1 that want to stay there indefinitely - I think they left the Perservers or never went there, but are now happily chillin in Era. Those are maybe more PvE or even RP oriented.
No. 2 that like the rush of fresh, who liked Pservers, who went to seasonal, and will jump on HC for the kick. Furthermore those are mostly PvP oriented.

Era will never be empty for long, as the first type of players will be either staying or fast returning after once again realizing that fresh is not for them no matter the hype.

And I guess you belong to my subset number 2.
