There was a live chat between the Classic Community Council members and the Classic Devs yesterday and I wrote a list of what was discussed here.

I am reposting here for visibility and to have a place for people to discuss it.

None of theses are guarantees, don’t shoot the messenger and we only had 1 hour so we didn’t have time to cover other topics such as RDF, cooldown resets, arena rating/points, etc.

Please try to keep it focused on what was discussed, I understand the frustration regarding RDF but this isn’t what this thread should be about.

Sad about no RDF but for Fresh this here is good news:

Fresh Servers

Finally, it was said that the goal would be “as few servers as possible” with at least one per region in order to limit the chances that fresh servers turns into single faction servers.

This needs to be done for everyone. We still have people on dead servers that weren’t under the consolidation.

Thanks for the communication. Interesting discussions for sure! On the topic of the “power creep” reduction i LOVE this idea and the thoughts around it.

The devs had topics they wanted to talk about, we worked with what we had.
I don’t know why they are so silent about the RDF issue.

(I am pro-RDF for the record but just sick and tired of the crying.)

The only chance we have at getting them to change their minds is through letting our opinion be heard. We will continue to do so until they inevitably put in RDF

So make your own topic. RDF whiners spamming in every single non-relevant topic is just straight up annoying. Same happened in the topic about the buff-resets, just turned into a RDF whine fest.

They won’t listen to us fully until we all try the garbage LFG tool I bet. Once everyone tries it and sees how bad it is (because it is) then maybe we’ll get our foot in the door.

OP can request whatever they want, they don’t have any authority over what I can and can’t say. If I feel RDF was overlooked in the discussion I will bring it up. End of story.

Thanks for the communication!

Very curious about the ToC item squish, I think this is a great idea in concept and would like to see what they would do as far as balancing it against the ICC 5-mans released in the final phase.

Lastly, could you elaborate on what’s meant by “regions” when they talk about as few Fresh servers as possible? I’m hoping that US E/W are not broken up into separate servers, I really fear that will spread the population out too much.
