I didn’t attempt to do that, so… ok?
Retails LFG tool is certainly better than bulletin board or the tbcs version of LFG tool. It doesn’t however replace RDF in any way for its intended purpose. They both can co exist as shown by retail
Its irony to the max. “We don’t think RDF feels Classic, so here’s a feature from retail!”. There’s much more to it than ‘the community’, which I doubt had anything to do with it at all. There had to be some numbers somewhere that didn’t match up.
LoL it’s even more confusing in game, you click on the same thing in the UI to open the tool for all group finders including pvp.
Its not a fact that we have just played two versions of an MMO without RDF and lots of people ran dungeons together without it? Thats me being ignorant? Lol?
Suit yourself but Im not going to go completely stupid because you easily can.
Citation needed.
I mean, youre wasting my time and the forums time as well so if you’re gonna cut back on that using me as a proxy we all cant help from benefit from it. You have my full support to post less, go for it.
Yes but you know what content got ran most? Boosts
If anything the game in the last 3 years has shown that RDF is more needed.
People are literally standing in place staring at an addon in order to hopefully get into a group but you consider that healthy game play lmao gtfo
Ah there it is, the reply of a someone who lost and can’t admit it.
I’ll gladly pay your sub for maplestory or runescape or literally any other game. Its clear that you don’t belong here.
genuine question. I thought a retail cross realm LFG tool should provide the ease of find groups for dungeons, but then has added benefit of other things too, so I’d imagine it’d be more preferable? Or is it because it’s not automatic.
2 reasons
- It gives extra badges because it replaced the daily heroic.
- The oath of least resistance, people will use it because its easier. But easier doesnt mean better for the game.
The difference between the retail lfg tool and what we have now is its more seamless and people actually use it. Today on tbcs lfg tool you can list yourself but its very bad. Some times it doesnt even display your actual level. Its just terrible design
It doesnt show your role, it doesnt show your ilvl, etc
Retail LFG is about as informative as you could want it to be and its just visibly better in every way
Boosts are proof players dont deserve jack squat. Its a sign your community is kinda screwed up. You cant fix stupid - certainly not with RDF.
RDF actually doing more than with its designed is a pipe dream. Why dream through pipes when you can dream free? We dont need RDF, it really is that simple.
Doesn’t mean its worse for the game either, if anything, the last year has shown that RDF would be a benefit for the majority of players.
It’s definitely better but it has the problem that dps in particular still have to play whackamole to hope they get an invite.
RDF would harm boosting considerably.
Amen brother.
Yes its a double edged sword because with your ilvl being shown the higher item level will get picked more times than not.
30 minute dps queues are much better /s
I guess you can do something else without having to click each group you’re trying to join.
It can take well over 30 mins to find a group right now even on a good server. You might wait 30 mins for the group to fill but its full at the end of that duration. I could join a group right now and wait 1.5 hours to even just find a tank for it. No queue for rdf will take longer than the potential time you have to wait for groups to form right now.
Yes that’s the point, you have a guaranteed group eventually. So you can do other stuff and not spend 30 minutes of “I’ll go” and still not have a group.
Not sure how this is sarcasm. This is 100% true. 30 minute queue is much better than never actually getting into a group.
