The best use of that dungeon finder is to be able to do dungeons while leveling without the tedious parts. That’s about it.
Because back in Vanilla and the Burning Crusade, that was how you originally formed a group for a dungeon. Throughout the first half of Wrath, it was also the same thing, then Blizzard added it, and it was well received. But it didn’t stop people from manually forming groups.
my thoughts are if blizzard going to continue with wrath. i think the “in the spirit of classic” needs to no longer freely flow from their lips anymore. they have lost this privilege to even utter those words. because in the spirit of classic it died when they announced no RDF or LFD or whatever and said it would not be part of wrath classic. further more they have killed the idea of classic by adding new feature not baked into wrath while opting to ignore features that were there. no more “in the spirit of classic”
further more anything posted by wow community council or blue posts should be considered a troll job because blizzard is also tone deaf on the “classic experience”.
Or when you get invited to a group you didn’t sign up for or asked to play a role you aren’t signed up as. LFG Tool is garbage.
as a scumbag who did those kind of shenanigans in wod on my shaman in LFR, i can attest it is a scumbag thing to do. but thats why we shouldn’t have a cool down on the kick feature for these tools. but LFR shouldn’t have been a thing.
so many people talking about coming from retail to play classic but dont want to spend 5 hours on a just getting to lvl 30 per character they gonna miss out on more people coming to class as long as that ****ty tool is in the game it wouldnt be a bad if it wasnt for having to spam for a group
alot of the chat in retail today seems to be about not coming to classic because of how theyve screwed it up by taking rdf out. but im sure that will make the elitist sweaty gatekeepers cheer that theyve managed to block more players from the servers.
dude! DUDE!
Very true !
Was going to play WOTLK but this is an extremely hard no from me. What an incomprehensibly idiotic idea.
I agree with everyone here that it’s a blatant cash grab to make leveling as tedious as possible.
I think it keeps more with the spirit of what makes classic different from retail.
- Faster to find pickup groups if you are unwilling to proactively enagage with other players
- Faster to find pickup groups on lower population servers, underpopulated factions, and at off-peak play times
- Players can more easily partake in other game activities while forming groups
- Makes it impractical/infeasible to form pickup groups “the old way” should you not want to engage with RDF
- Teleporting to dungeons reduces the sense of and scale of the game world
- Reduces punishment for toxic behavior; cross-realm reduces reputational harm
- No cross-realm
- Teleporting only active for dungeons in hostile territory. Ex. Alliance gets to teleport to RFC, Horde gets to teleport to Stocks.
- Offer additional rewards for pickup groups formed without RDF.
exp gain on there is terriable this would have been better if they did RDF with the low exp i did almost 22 quest barely got 3 bars of exp up
I really like the idea of teleporting to dungeons of the opposite faction. I imagine for RFC on ally it would be fun, only thing would be it would feel weird as Horse in Stocks. But to be fair I guess we can still do that, this just makes it easier
…and if RDF WASN’T in Wrath OG, you actually might have had a point. But as it is, you dont.
OK…so the Wrath Patch is finally out today, I log on, and I STILL don’t see RDF! Are they ignoring all the screaming (paying) fans that are demanding it?!
but at least the healers and tanks get free stuff yay
so lame… that they would do that
Apparently they’re listening to the 6 toxic, elitist gatekeepers on the forums who are happy about its removal. I don’t know a single person who’s glad it’s gone.
same here everyone i talk to say they want it
