When the group finder goes cross server you end up with all sorts of toxic behaviour as people do not need to play nice as they have zero blowback for their reputation on the server. Ninja looting, trolling type behaviour are normal. Part of the reason Blizzard eventually added personal loot…

Also- Who cares? Obviously toxicity is bad, but what are the chances you’re going to ever end up playing with that guy again?
Opposed to him being one of the few people online on your server, at your level, when you need to run a dungeon?

• Do you think an hybrid solution could be implemented, whether it be a partial Dungeon Finder or a different solution altogether, and what could that solution be, if you can think of any?

1. Disappointed. My wife and I are playing off meta spec DPS classes and will struggle to get dungeon groups since everyone is so greedy only wanting to tank/heal if they can GDKP

2. People like me can level and get appropriate gear through the dungeons while doing the quest content and being efficient with our time while we wait in queue.

3. None. It’s a net positive across the board, the “Community” aspect has never existed even in vanilla classic, if you’re not in an active guild on an active server you’re either spending all day spamming chat for a tank or you’re paying people to help you, this has not changed since, and will be further exacerbated by the current server problems.

4. I’m open to single server dungeon finder, dungeon finder that includes old content, TBC content plus heroics and WotlK dungeons MINUS heroics.

I’m also open to just waiting till a future update down the line after the first raid tier is over with before introducing dungeon finder IF they include heroics with it and badge acquisition to help catch up alts or returning players.

Removing the option for dungeon finder just further guts the game for people like my wife and I who just don’t have the time and patience to weed out a guild that is chill and supportive enough on our time schedule to provide what we need, same goes for raiding.

But while I’m fine with missing out on raids, there’s ZERO reason I should have to dungeon find the hard way when it’s not end game content like M+ in retail, NONE.

Plus given that they want to separate people onto smaller realms they’re going to need to bring back dungeon finder when the inevitable population lull happens like before and places like my old server Fairbanks that got axed ends up dead and people start making mega servers again.

These people are so silly.

I will never understand equating enduring mind-numbing tedium with not being lazy.

In the last three years I have moved three times, beginning with the pandemic’s start and with the final one being to a country the language of which I didn’t speak, but now can enough to get by and which I am getting better at every day. I made that move because I met (through WoW, through my guild and raids, where the actual social interactions happen) and fell in love with a woman and was committed to making it work. We’re set to get married in December.

While here I’ve made do by working some pretty awful jobs (as literal immigrant labor), some of which took drastic tolls on my body, as I worked towards a professional certificate that I am nearly done with. Also about 1-2 months out from being done with teaching my SIL, who suffers from severe anxiety, how to drive. Will end up having been about a year long process.

Apparently, though, I’m lazy and anti-social for not finding value in manipulating my character to a dungeon entrance after having manually formed a group via such dazzling social interactions as macro spams and “inv?”.

Not wanting to waste hours spamming your gearscore in the LFG channel apparently makes you lazy. Not wanting to twiddle your thumbs waiting for two group members to summon you to an instance portal makes you lazy.

It has literally been proven in THIS thread before, if you could read, that the Blizzard of 2008->2010 intended the RDF to be in Wrath of the Lich King from launch. It was delayed because they couldn’t get it to work right and finally released it in 3.3 which was a massive, valuable addition to the game.

Blizzard, grow a brain, learn to read, and give the people RDF. My group of friends are not playing Wotlk because one of the reason being no RDF. In addition, server queues are garbage despite the availability of technology, but they won’t invest in Classic because it is an old game and lying to the player base is easier. Then it’s the idiotic ilvl squish debate - why is this even brought up in discussion?

So out of touch Blizzard, you are a disgrace to your former self. Maybe start with less sexual harassment and more game development.

I know I barely used it, same with the majority of people I know.

Then you must know very little people. ALL the people I knew (except now, you, unless your lying) USED RDF COPIOUSLY! It’s obvious by now in the likes and posts of this thread that the vast majority of players want RFD back, like it was in the original. Stop making it sound like there’s an army behind you. It’s just you. All alone.

If you think RDF is “lazy retail” then your remembering Wrath wrong. Because it had it. Sounds like you’ll be happy in Vanilla Classic, when things were a horrible grind and you didn’t have RDF. Blizz has made a place for you. Please go to it. This is a WRATH forum.

How could you possibly do all of it without RDF when RDF was added when ICC was added ?
You didn’t magically do ICC before the content was released.
If you are sayin you didn’t use RDF at all, then that’s fine, but RDF was in LK for a little less than half of the time the expansion existed…

RDF was a great boon to people for leveling alts or getting badges to get catch up gear if they wanted to raid on different toons…
