I remember even at the young age of 13 after having done most of TBC and learning how to play a tank through heroic TBC dungeons that going in to Wrath I was excited for a new challenge, but it turned out WOTLK heroics were just really…weak. Don’t get me wrong the scenery was pretty but it felt so underwhelming full clearing all the heroics so quickly compared to TBC’s which actually took a decent chunk of time and practice learning pulls/cc. I feel like now they are gonna be even more of a joke. I actually enjoyed doing TBC heroics again those first few weeks of Classic TBC, they were fun and trash mobs bonked tanks pretty hard + you had to kite sometimes. WOTLK heroics won’t be anything like that if they are left as they were. They became a snooze fest even back in. the day. Same thing with Naxx tbh, even kara was more of a “challenge” than naxx (even tho kara was still easy and meant to be an intro raid). im just worried the first phase of WOTLK will be really boring outside of pvp.
All of WOTLK will feel super easy. Including the hard modes, and heroic raids.
You can literally walk into naxx in questing greens and clear the content. Probably can even do it while getting the immortal achievement and undying.
Sunwell right now is as harder than majority of the content we’ll see in wrath outside of a few fights here or there.
Sunwell is pretty easy imo, if WotLK doesn’t have anything harder than SWP I wouldn’t really mind. I’m here for the ride not for hard raids and achievements will be fun to go for.
Base on how people are playing, yes it’s all going to be easy. But news flash wow was always ment to be easy. It was a game marketed for Casual players.
If we don’t get pre nerfed Ulduar it’s going to be a long easy expansion.
Yet people are still horrifically bad at it.
I agree.
My experience in WotLK was in the first days that we’d have to stop and eat to get health and mana back after each pull of trash or bosses. Then, as time went on, we were eventually doing speed runs on heroic.
Is this true? I never played in Wrath but those timewalking dungeons last week were either overtuned, or wrath was nuts.
There was more damage going out than a +15.
So… do you want a system where players get keys to plug into a socket in the dungeon to create some sort of Heroic + feature where you can get scaling heroic ilvl gear? With a weekly disappointment box added to it?
Because thats how you get Heroic +
I like how everyone is realizing how astonishingly easy all these classic servers are. It’s like the difficulty spike and sub drop off in Cata are related.
Do they need to make dragonflight brain dead easy for people to think retail is good again?
And yet cata introduced LFR for an “easier see the content” experience.
So yes, I do believe the difficulty spike downwards and sub drop offs are related.
I feel that blizzard didnt tune the timewalking dungeons very well to how they were originally.
But in wrath they were extremely easy, we used to literally pull half an instance at a time. 2 or 3 bosses at once for fun
Wrath is the expansion where Blizzard first prioritized getting everyone into all the content so of course it’s easy. Everything but a handful of Ulduar hardmodes and a few of the ToC and ICC heroic encounters are going to be blitzed through by the min/max crowd and only 0 lights and H LK are going to be real road blocks.
If people want to enjoy it, they need to stop the min/max mindset, put down the plethora of guides, and just go in and experience the content. If challenge is what you’re after, just resist the temptation to have everything facet of the game spelled out for you before even setting foot in it, and you’ll be surprised how much harder it is.
I already “experienced” the content. What is there to do but do it again but better?
I dont understand this mindset that i should have to play poorly to have the correct “fun”. But if i consune, spec correctly and improve it is the incorrect “fun”
It’s up to you to play how you want to play. But if you want to take advantage of outside resources and do everything you can to make the game as easy as possible, don’t turn around and complain that the game is too easy.
Yes. We totally need TBC-levels of difficulty so we can continue to see no one running Heroics outside of the daily.
It’s so super fun sitting in Shattrath all day watching only “LFM” posts for the Heroic I’ve already done on my lvl 70s.
I’m already getting screwed out of quick dungeon-running with the removal of RDF. I don’t need Heroics to be painful to the point that if there’s no ‘extra reward’ they aren’t ran.
Problem is we thought the raiding and dungeons were too easy and boring back then too and it was new to us.
Why do you think they made heroic mode and later mythics?
The game is easy enough without any of these things that a blind 1 handed gorilla that’s focused on picking his anal cavity for dingleberries could play without any difficulty.
Which is even more sad when you consider people still struggle.
it better be
Yeah, but this was also coming from regularly requiring CC for Heroics in TBC. We’re playing a game where people have 15 years experience playing their class. That’s literally professional expert level.
