WOTLK doesn't need RDF

This one gets bumped by the ego-maniac that posted it. Anything for attention.

Nothing is his strong point, unless being incorrect would be considered a strong point.

Weā€™ve posted charts left and right for him, multiple charts showing subs going up from 3.3.0 all the way until first patch of cata, and he still says subs dropped because of dungeon finder. Says that subs only dropped after dungeon finder. Still misses the point that blizzard devs came out in multiple interviews that dungeon participation dropped in cata because heroics were too hard, and subs began to decline because they didnā€™t have a middle ground for casual players.

to be fair he even posted a chart that showed he was wrongā€¦

This is literally the exact thing weā€™ve been saying.

Theyā€™re trying to un-ruin it by changing things.

No, theyā€™re continuing to make bad decisions and ruining it yet again. Iā€™m sorry that you and the few others canā€™t comprehend this.

I donā€™t see them reverting retail to the pre-cataclysm, 71-point talent system.

Isnā€™t that kinda like going back to the same Doctor that did the malpractice in the first place to have a 2nd goā€¦

Wrath was fine they need to leave it the heck alone. they are the reason retail has issues, they canā€™t make anything even close as good as it and they are jealous

He stopped talking about it after he self-owned himself with that chart.

No no no, they didnā€™t ruin it with RDF. They ruined it by adding in throwaway borrowed power mechanics every expansion, stripping class identity and replacing it with spec identity, poor story telling, and weird forgettable in-game scenarios like warfronts and azerite collecting missions. Then the insane azerite gear, corruptions, and all sorts of other game breaking shenanigans continued in shadowlands with conduit and covenant powers.

As much as some people praise legion IMO it was the major start of the downfall of retail (a lot of the systems\designs that started there were just bad for the game). *well WOD still had a hint of the old game design, it had not been killed yet IMO but they really watered it down hard.

You think the people that gave us BfA and SL can make Wrath better?

Maybe so, but all the lore surrounding artifact weapons made up for it. I would play Legion again. Hot take, I know.

I think the artifact weapons were only as popular as they were because weapons were a pain to get in expansions past.

Was that random or specific set lfd?

If specificā€¦these take longer. Especially for less liked dungeons. HOA can be a slower to run youā€™d need more whoā€™d want to be here. Not many want to be here.

boss one needs 2 forced trash mobs kiils for the blood/anima mechanic. Plusā€¦not all skip trash here well so you lose time on court yard clear outs. Someone can mess up sneak to boss 2ā€¦pulls that trash too. Its really fun when tank pulls boss out the door and you are still fighting like 5 other gargoyles I tell you what.

Sanguine depths not much better really. Venthyr dungeons are just.not fun. Can we just kill the general in the corridor? Nopeā€¦trash pull, trash pull, trash pull. trash pull, trash pull. On the ledge outsideā€¦now you can kill her.

To draw a classic comparison I could bring up 20 to 30. And no one comes to elf land for Black fathom. Not even boosters. I saw like 1 in a week there.

Now stockadesā€¦it can have a waiting list. This is why if youā€™ve ever wondered you see so many sub 30 night elves in SW. the menethil death march gets you more hits. its not till 30 ish you get a quest string that has you in the hood really. You walked to dark shireā€¦take the 5 minutes to see elwynn too lol.

Also have a blood elf who never sees crews for shadowfang either. Not even boosters. which is funnyā€¦there came a point one night if say 5 gold a run Iā€™d have bought a 5 block. No boosters to take my money.

If BFA had stood for ā€œBattle for Artifact Weaponsā€ that would have been leagues better than that awful Azerite gear.

ā€¦ maybeā€¦ Also, as far as borrowed power systems go, itā€™s probably the best one that Blizzard has come up with.

I found them to be very engaging. Talent trees, unlockable skins, and lots of lore? Yes please!

If you will allow me to be pedantic for a moment, the level cap on retail is 60 so it would either have to be the Classic 51-point talents or an adjustment to the Cataclysm system to squish it into 60 levels.

Yeah, in BfA we should have been able to craft our own Azerite weapons. Imagine if we were able to customize them, and even name them. That would have been awesome.

Gotta admit though, not having to wait for a raid or M+ drop was a pretty nice bonus right? Also not needing a second weapon for pvp? Pretty sweet.

Yeah, the only downside was trying to play more than one spec.
