On a megaserver? None, because it’s largely no different to the problems of RDF. On a reasonable mid-tier server, you end up on everyone’s ignore list and can’t find groups.
At the rate they’re going with their thought process on racial PvP changes as well as engineering changes, the WotLK Classic PvP experience is likely not going to be as enjoyable. An instead we’re probably going to get some stupid watered down version to appease their own desire to hold everyone’s hands.
This is fantasy. That isnt happening. Im on a low pop server myself and the same toxic stuff thats always happened in this game still happens. Its actually worse without LFD because they can get away with it so easily with no debuff, its so easily abused. The length of my ignore list means nothing… it doesnt stop anything. And on a small server like mine… you cant afford to ignore the whole server.
I’d understand their position more if blizzard was forcing you to use it. For example if you were literally blocked from the ability form group or enter dungeons without using the tool, or if blizzard blocked/banned LFG chat.
The existence of RDF greatly hinders the ability to easily form groups without RDF, because most people will use it out of convenience and not voluntarily elect to have the process take longer. This aspect needs to be universal to every player, or there’s just no point.
I, for the life of me, cannot understand why people keep coming back again and again with this argument. The existence of RDF affects manual grouping significantly. No, it doesn’t delete manual grouping out of the game, but just because it’s still there doesn’t mean it isn’t effectively non-existent due to the manual group forming community basically not existing at that point anymore.
You remove gigantic swathes of players out of the pool of potential recruits who just think it’s easier to hit a button and laze about.
How about I make you a deal: either play the way Blizzard has decided WOTLK-C, or if no RDF bothers you that much, go play retail?
Nobody is forcing you to play Classic WOTLK.
Retail effectively has removed dungeon finder (it gives gear lower than wq) so why would he go back to retail to use it?
He doesn’t have to do that either, he can just not play if it suits him.
This is the problem right here. YOUR original wrath experience doesn’t matter. Classic doesn’t need to be a mere trip down memory lane. Classic is blizzards chance to go back and redo some of the controversial choices they made originally that lead to the game today.
People will realize very quickly that dungeon grouping isn’t going to be anywhere near as hard as they cry it will be on these forums.
Not only was that not what Classic is for, it’s also entirely subjective. One person may have a very different interpretation about what is, “good”.
Basically.
Like with the Fix EMFH! movement.
There is a monkey’s paw in everything blizzard does.
Humans get gimped lets say. okay…slow volume to loud horror tension building theme music…what’s next.
Wrath got out alive with the monkey’s paws of those days. lets leave em.
Hate to go retail here (not really…as its applicable)…Nerf DH. the meme legend… and at the end of BFA to SL was done. Monkey’s paw finger shriveled up. wish granted…now the curse bit.
wait wtf…we said nerf DH. WTH is this AOE cap for everybody?
We fixed DH eye beam as requested. their issue among many was AOE. then we said AOE is getting stupid as a whole…so we fixed that too.
then they brought back no cap (most, outlaw rogue got screwed over here) but now its scaled diminishing return. which is funny…that was how one way they looked at DH eye beam balance.
How about you just stick with classic vanilla it never had any LFD and give us LK like it was in patch 3.3.5…
*Hate that stupid “just go play retail” crap it ticks me off retail sucks (and it’s nothing to do with looking for anything)…
Your argument in a nutshell, “LFD is just so good and so damn convenient that everyone will use it and ill be stuck manually forming groups alone like the one bozo in the world who doesnt want LFD”.
^ To that i say give the people what they want. You just demonstrated how excellent LFD is and how popular it will be.
And let me throw your ridiculous “deal” right back at you. Let us have 3.3.5 WOTLK the way it was meant to be, and you can go back to SoM Classic where you can enjoy the stripped base game in all its “glory”.
I mean if rdf becomes a thing, both of my tank alts will be enchanters and i will roll need on EVERYTHING. Because why not, won’t be any consequences on my realm.
Dont cut yourself on that edge.
Dont cut yourself on that edge
No edge to worry about.
Join group, noone from my realm? Need everything. No consequences. They wont kick the tank because they will be there for their daily badges after 2 weeks in.
Popularity is not solely dependent on desirability.
Players simply take the path of least resistance.
Is McDonalds healthy because tons of people go eat it?
The sad part is your counter arguments have been demolished and flattened 30x over already, you’re just new to the conversation. Hi, hello, but you’re trodding out old hat logic here.
Also no deal is necessary; RDF won’t be in WOTLKC. I don’t need to compromise.
The difference is i dont think we should we just remove mcdonalds from the world just because its unhealthy. I think people should have the choice. And i dont agree with your stance whatsoever, and i get the impression you arent going to change your mind either. I wish you luck in your endeavor to make this game as miserable as possible.
And? don’t think people grabbed stuff they didn’t really need before LFG, nice thing about group finder I can fairly quickly queue up run again and get another chance and odds are won’t be getting someone not as greedy as yourself, people like you must be the exception I never had an issue with that the first time or getting geared up the first time though LK.

This isn’t a democracy though. Blizzard ultimately decides what they want people to be exposed to in their own game, to achieve their vision of what they want players to experience. Their decision when faced with an expansion that introduced features that were highly controversial and had long-term lasting effect that were in-part at fault for what the game became to this day…they’re choosing to go a different route.
Instead of sending Classic down the same tired road, they’re trying to make it unique from retail.
They are solving “the McDonalds problem” by simply making it as though McDonalds never existed. They aren’t putting it in to take it out later. They got way out in front and made it known: RDF will not be in Wrath Classic.
They also gave you options, if you prefer a game experience that has RDF…you know where you can go.
I wish you luck in your endeavor to make this game as miserable as possible.
I mean, I’m not involved in any campaign to add or remove anything. I don’t make any of the decisions at Blizzard.
I’m simply celebrating Blizzards great decision here to remove an arbitrary feature that contributed to the slow down-turn of several previously important aspects of the game experience.
I never had an issue with that the first time or getting geared up the first time though LK
Well, im glad you never had to see the dark sidebof rdf, idk if it was just bad luck, but i saw it regularly.
Hmm I ran it a ton with 4 or 5 alts maybe it’s a you issue? (if you’re the type to need on everything to DE it might want to look at your personal choices rather than mess up everyone else fun).
The difference is i dont think we should we just remove mcdonalds from the world just because its unhealthy.
Ever watch supersize me? We should absolutely remove mcdonalds from the world.
I’m assuming you don’t know what the FDA is either, or what they’re job is in society.
