WOTLK doesn't need RDF

Is Zipzo a troll? Are anti lfd people actually insane? Cant you see how popular it is or would be?

At some point the minutia overshadows the elephant in the room.

Same way boosts got overshadowed just because you could buy one.

One day Blizzard is your best friend and the next they are your bitter enemy. Funny how that works. Its almost as if theyre not an anyones side here and just want to put out the best version of Wrath Classic that they can because they got minds and motivations of their own and you’re not really in a position to demand anything. Youre along for the ride, thats it. So take your seat or leave the amusement park. Up to you.

But to keep going with these silly little insinuations and distractions dont do anything but render the stupid completely useless in an actual discussion.

The simple fact is Wrath dont need RDF - least of all because you want it and think its a good idea. It just dont. Sorry. There are things that contradict you - and the devs got other plans entirely.

As usual the gaming masses are wrong - tell me something I dont know.

If they are, they are trying way too hard. If they’re not then they’re just elitist and super close minded.

The latest statement from Brian during an interview was that the classic team was actually split on this issue. This gives me some sense of hope that at least we’ll get a sensibly adjusted version of RDF. So for now I plead my case in a couple of these threads in the hope that someone from Blizzard is reading and taking things into consideration.

We’ll see what happens.

Really not seeing the difference between the two sides then. Although I cant accuse Zip of being close minded.

Zip believes very strongly about certain things and can speak to them from a certain perspective because its not a stance or argument solely rooted in personal bias for personal gain. Zip can see the merit and potential in not having RDF.

Which is why you can have a thread about WotLK doesnt need RDF. You can show that it doesnt and at least one person at Blizzard agrees.

What should happen is RDF just like it was in original Wrath. Hello ICC phase - Full glory. Thats it.

Doesnt sound like that its a guarantee though. I want RDF but its not gonna kill Wrath for me if its not there or some modified finder of sorts. Its like, meh, whatever. And Im the sort who would truly benefit from RDF.

If the verdict ended up being it gets added but not until ICC, I’d find that perfectly acceptable if only to be true to the original.

Conversely, it’d be strange to me to play a Classic Cata without RDF since like…it was almost part of Cata’s identity, but that’s why I believe Classic Cata won’t even happen, it’s just “too new”.

I hope you realize that this nomenclature doesn’t always mean that, for example, half the team was against the thing, and the other half was really for it.

Often in English the term “split” can almost mean “collectively conflicted” meaning there aren’t definitive party lines for each logical conclusion, but unsureness.

Basically you could take “split” to mean:

“Yeah, there’s some discussion on whether it’s the right call or not” or “Were not totally certain if it’s the right call or not”, potentially.

However…we can at least be certain that the “let’s not add it” voice was strong enough amongst the team to actually make it an announcement (#proud)…

For me, if nothing else, its way more interesting than Wrath with RDF - mostly because its different than before - not for any socialization causes. I dont know if thats better in 2022. Its probably too late.

You had people championing boosts like their lives dependent on it. I gave up all hope at that point. Give em what they want while they type “raid log expansion” everyday on the forums and start working on classic + or something.

I can promise you that Wrath will not be more ‘interesting’ without RDF. After phase 1 it’ll be just another raid log expansion as many others have also speculated. Not sure why people think it’ll be different than TBC. It won’t. People will be nonstop complaining about not finding groups, and would rather just log out than spend 30+ minutes reading chat or paying 100g for a tank. We have all the proof now, because its happening now.

The interesting thing will be how the anti-LFD few react to the ‘we told you so’ posts that’ll be flooding in come P2 WOTLK Classic.

So what…they pay the sub Blizzard is happy…not really interested in hurting the classic vision just so you can purport that the game is more “active” in the dungeon scene.

I think outcomes are debatable. I should point out I dont really care what Wraths fate is.

From my point of view, RDF is small potatoes. I cant mourn the loss of something thats never existed before. Im not losing anything because Ive never had it in my return to WoW with the classics. Its not something being taken away in a literal sense.

Its not debatable though. Its literally happening right now.

It big, like russet potatoes.

big ol’ bakers so you can cook em up and fill them with what you want.

Yeah like no hassle dungeon runs and a sprinkle of dailies while i’m waiting for it to cook.

PLEASE add dungeon finder at launch. The alt friendliness of wrath is one of the best parts. This is a deal breaker for so many people that would have come back for wrath classic, the most popular expansion of all time. Many people have no interest in playing classic vanilla or tbc but wrath is a whole different story. Now that I think of it Dungeon finder might have been the thing that would have gotten me to play TBC, but I would never suggest adding it in TBC it would be disrespectful to all those TBC lovers that don’t want it. Let WOTLK be WOTLK. RDF is one of the features that made wrath great. This is such a disappointment.

Lack of social skills on your part is not my problem.

For my part, no RDF = no WOTLK for me. When you pay my sub, you can tell me what to like. Bliz has made their decision, and so, I have made mine … end of negotiations.

I mean, I don’t believe they nor I have implied otherwise. I fully encourage you to play the game that has what you want.

Hopefully you find that perfect game out there

Just add it and the people who don’t want to use it don’t have too. Most people who play this game are older and have life’s outside of WoW, as someone with 3 alts no RDF will make me not play them. I’m sick of hearing the argument “it ruins the community/social aspect of the game!” Half you people probably don’t even socialize anyways and are introverted😂. I thought RDF was one of the best features added and with ilvl gear check you don’t have to worry about people being extremely under-geared as well. With the way this community is pretty soon we will be having people asking for dungeon parses to get an invite.

as long as they dont nerf DK’s until that point, sure. but they are going to implement all of those adjustments, they need to implement LFD. It will be interesting to see how many less people are there if they go with the boost sellers and gold farmers instead of their loyal players.

Why is it okay to have Cross-realm & cross-faction PvP & it’s not okay for dungeons?
