WOTLK doesn't need RDF

And? Still just asking for only during ICC when it was there originally.

You clearly didn’t see how RaF was abused then lol

It required someone to play, but the other person would get free levels. And it was usable on more than one character.

Yes there were differences to the two systems, but they server the same purpose. And the RaF was actually the more abuseable system.

I wouldn’t call it abuse at all.

And I am not agaist it being added in ICC phase. But it definitely shouldn’t be in at launch.

Did I say that anywhere? I would LIKE it in at launch but I’m not going to push for a change.

Blizzard doesn’t want RDF because then people could actually level up in dungeons, this leads to less being buying boosts, and then this would lead to less people buying gold, this would lead to less demand for bots and their subscriptions would go down.

Without RDF there is no reason to do dungeons once you get the gear you need.

Unless you’re in full ICC heroic gear the daily heroic dungeon badges will always be needed.

You got 300% exp if you were grouped and within the level range of friends RAF account toon. For every other level they earned you got a one level boost. So if you leveled with your friend to max level you got 44 levels to use as you wanted.

It was a perk for sure, but abuse? Hardly.

You only got two of the good badges per day from the daily heroic. If you were gearing an alt you were much better off pugging raids to catch up than spamming dungeons.

If I was gearing an alt in ICC I would have hit the Q and gotten my two badges in under 25 minutes. Bad luck was still a thing, so the badges were useful for missing pieces. Even the most hardcore raiders did their dailies until they were in full heroic.

The RaF account could recruit a friend another account., and so on. So I’ll let you do the math to find out how many free levels that combo chained into…

Back when I played LK when it came out, there were more than 10 max level players on my server too, not putting it in is a stupid idea unless they can fix some of the messed up servers. (number of people might as well unsub if you cant play the full game).

Good for you? You also have a different playstyle than most. You don’t raid, you don’t follow bis lists or optimize your gear/spec. You’re an extreme casual and will find groups with others like-minded.

Most players options are spamming /4 looking for a tank for 30 minutes, then offering to pay 50g for another 30 minutes, finally upping it to 100g to get a tank.

The groups you’re getting are the lower end, slower levelers that generally aren’t good at the game.

I see a lot of “red herring” arguments about gear, raid, and leveling alts. None of these things are the basis reason for having no RDF.

" No Dungeon Finder – Players rediscovering Wrath of the Lich King Classic won’t find the Looking for Dungeon feature originally added in Patch 3.3.5. We’ve heard from our Classic community that the importance of social bonds is a big part of what makes Classic their game of choice, and we agree."

This is a counter-productive and misguided reason for omitting the RDF. Quite the contrary, RDF was a great way to meet players from other guilds, make friends, form new social bonds, display your play-skills to join/find a guild, or just goof your daily playtime grinding dungeons. RDF was a solution to the inclusion of ‘casuals’ and players who wanted greater access that was often denied.

The post from Bliz implies that RDF is a hindrance to social interaction and synergy, but the opposite was the experience of most players who benefited from RDF.

I for one will do far less dungeons without RDF. I guess I will have more time to farm ore to keep up with GDKPs.

And this shows you know nothing about me. I do raid and I do look at min max options. But I don’t treat them like the word of God. Especially for content you don’t need to be highly optimized for, like dungeons and heroics.

I’ll definitely be putting more consideration for optimizing for sunwell, because that’s the highest level difficulty in tbc.

I’ve read your posts over the last couple of months, you’ve said multiple times that you don’t raid or follow the ‘toxic min/max’ mindset.

Then you may want to work on your reading comprehension. I have never said I don’t raid. I have said I don’t parse. As in I’m not aiming for a 99. I raid every week and have cleared all content before nerfs. Yes I partook in some cheese with thornlings to absorb mind controls on vashj (and it works on mother sha fatal attraction as well but my guild isn’t struggling with bad rng on that so it’s not something we are stressing the use of) we have killed Illidan regularly, I have even stood in on the trap for the tank (warrior) to intervene to me when we had some bad placements of traps.

So to make it clear to you. Not caring about parsing does not equal not raiding.

You’re acting like it was sinister or something. They advertised it that way with us getting free levels and a RAF mount. It was plastered all over their site and battlenet. It worked exactly like they wanted it to.

And so does boosting. The system that replaced raf for tbcc.

Both systems were abused by bots as well. And the raf more so because it wasn’t limited to just one character getting that exp boost, free mount, exc.
