I disagree tbh; ToC imo was actually one of the patches I enjoyed cus it actually added a dope daily area that lead to a lot of fun WPvP and jousting. (Actual social interaction, doubt it happens again as most will probably just content locust the dailies for the unlockables and never go near the place outside of raid night)
But yea; Wrath has always been weak imo. Its an identity crisis expansion. ICC and Ulduar are still great raids, but coming back to Ulduar and downing Alg first reset and replaying the rest blind off mostly memory its just so mid compared to just raiding on retail. At least Vanilla gives a fresh and unique experience.
So Itâs not so simple Remember the whole point of Bringing classic back Were people that originally wanted Vanilla And #no Changes.
The problem is now People want different things from wrath And the player bases very divided on what it should be.
1 You have people that donât want any changes and just wanted to be wrath 2008 No changes.
2 You have people that they want Changes but it to be Similar to Vanilla.
3 You have people that want changes and the only thing to be the same is the name.
4 You have people that want the game harder than it was So thatâs more of a challenge to them aka The mid max/ Speed running community.
5 Some changes are okay but they donât want anything that takes away from me cough cough social experience In their opinion like rdf Whether that be good for the game or not.
Iâve set up before The classic player base is just as divided if not more divided than dragonflights player base is.
I do agree with you to a certain point it would be nice. If blizzard would give some communication but the thing is hc This is really popular right now.
Gdkps Are here to stay the problem is no matter what blizzard does people are always going to find a way around it Mainly because a lot of that stuff does get organized on discord and on a massive scale too.
And unfortunately a Lot Of the old systems that. A lot of people wanted Back And donât want certain innovations aka If cross server play and cross faction play to them.
Whether it make playing the game more easy and accessible to them destroys what the game was And they want to avoid what the game became aka Dragonflight.
And keep it as close to Vanilla aka If that classic feel is close as possible which does not work for wrath People say dragonflight is a different game well yes.
But Hereâs the thing and this is something I feel people of forgotten Every single expansion is a different game.
Vanilla tbc wrath cata mop wod Legion bfa sl and df Play nothing alike Yes you could make an argument that Vanilla and tbc Are the closest I guess but even still the games still play very differently.
Because letâs be real for a minute tbc Heroics Especially at launch were no joke you need specific cc If in some cases or you werenât clearing that dungeon that just wasnât the case in vanilla Just as one example.
My point is the issue isnât necessarily on blizzardâs end itâs more What does the true majority of the player base want and what does blizzard truly want to achieve.
Most of the changes if not all the changes theyâve done to wrath have bin good Is the only extremely huge L is And continues to be on rdf.
People need to understand that wrath is not Vanilla Itâs a different game just like Dragonflight is a different game And until people get that.
Itâs always going to feel like a mess Playing and simple.
However it being a mess and people wanting different things really has nothing to do with at least Blizzard being better communicators when it comes to wrath. Just looking at the blue tracker compared to say the regular game general is kind of depressing I know itâs BLIZZARDS MAIN GAME, but for a lot of Wrath people wrath IS THEIR MAIN GAME.
You would just think that Blizzard would have some more respect for us after being around multiple decades.
Indeed it does but this is what we got. Will say however that while wrath deserves better, its awful community does not.

The irony is that it is their own fault these have not done as well as they should have. They horribly mismanaged the projects from the start while ignoring everyone that knew better.
I really canât wait when they finally release HC servers and half the player base is disinterested or wonât abandon their current HC toon because of all the work they already put into it.
Not to mention HC already has Cthun down. KT will be down before HC servers release. I feel there will still be delusional people that will shriek that it wasnât done on an official blizzard HC server so it doesnât count, but far less because of how slow blizzard releases things.
They just wanna fragment the communities to be small enough to justify shutting down the project. âIt was fun guys, but go on back to retail now fellas,â will be what they basically say to the players too.
