Mate, it’s just TBCC playing out all over again with your same terrible logic coming into play a second time.
Us: boy, I’m really keen to play through vanilla wow again with as few changes as possible!
You guys: No this game is bad we need to change this we need to change that
Blizzard: lol derp okay heres a million stinker changes
Us: Uhh, righto. Those are godawful changes that completely break the game. Well, whatever. Since we’re having garbage changes, let’s have also have X and Y in the game.
You guys: NAHHH THAT’D BE INAUTHENTIC NO CHANGES
Once again, going into Wrath I would have been happy to just play the game again as it was, warts and all. But nah, already we have confirmation that multiple features of the original expansion will be removed for good (with no debate to be had), or irreconcilably altered from their original forms. So I’m sorry, but we might as well once again advocate for actually good changes.
Before you turn it into competition #2, I neither care nor expect that these kind of suggestions will make it into the game, but we might as well suggest them.
The whole classic series has had a very bad tuning. The beginning tiers are too easy because we are on the latest patch.
1.12 makes everything trivial (easier than the already easy game)
2.4 have paladin tank, casters, and healers much stronger than they were
I do hope they tune up the first 2 tiers to account for the final 3.3 class balance. Too easy are indeed antisocial. Nothing needs to be communicated when we could mow down the mobs effortlessly.
I do hope they tune the difficulty harder, normal dungeons don’t need to be hard, but Heroics do.
I remember Heroics were very easy in WotLK, especially towards the end of the expansion, and I mean literally just, no CC, AOE the entire way through the dungeon.
I think you may have misunderstood the point of my post.
I was simply arguing against making Wrath dungeons harder for no reason. Nothing to do with LFD one way or the other.
They were vastly easier at the end because of the multiple tiers and sub-tiers of ilvl inflation. Something I personally really liked.
ICC geared toons were massively more powerful than the fresh 80s the dungeons were tuned for. That’s just normal warcraft. TBC is no different. Just did a heroic sethekk where I was the least geared toon on this lock (and i’m only in a mix of T4, badge and some ZA drops) and we blew through that place.
Yeah, but for the time being, I still have an active sub which gives me the privilege of posting my opinions and wants on the forums, and lately I’ve been in the mood to do so, so why not?
I don’t have any realistic expectations that Blizzard is going to do something sane and walk back all their stupid ideas and just release the product as-is. When that time comes, I’ll decide whether or not I want to play whatever they’ve come up with, but at the moment, I’m leaning towards not.
