WOTLK Classic - Dungeon Finder Removed

You didn’t have to use it. It was a choice. This takes away players choice to play how they want to play. They should make a modified system that allows a person to pick whether they dont want to use it, which maybe provides a bonus to rewards… or you can use it and select server wide, or region wide. I hate forming groups and I never had an issue queueing up to run with random people, and have met many people over the years by using the df tool.

Exactly…

The non-casuals have “spoken” and don’t want casuals to do queue up for their daily heroic to get their badges and emblems so they can get a piece of 25m gear from the vendor.

Mark my word - WoTLK Classic, when released, would have potentially DOUBLE the amount of regular players if it kept the Dungeon Finder. I strongly feel a lot more people want it or are accepting of it than not.

This needs to be looked at and at least come in when it was original in and not just write it off. kinda sad tbh.

Yes. Yes they do. They’ve allowed the competitive players to define what could be when in reality the competitive community is tiny compared to everyone else.

Wrong. Wrath is when Dungeon Finder came out. it came in Patch 3.3.0. atleast know what your talking about please.

Maybe I’m missing the point here but, if people have dedicated groups already then why would they need to use a group finding tool. At the very least, something is better than nothing for players without said dedicated groups. I can see how the random dungeon Finder made the social aspect better, I agree with this and honestly would prefer it myself but, can someone please explain to me why channels wouldn’t be beneficial? I’d like to be out in the world and see group advertisements vs. having to sit in city trade and wait.

I think a better solution would be to implement it for all old content up to tbc at the start for leveling purposes and keep the old content alive, reduce boosters.
Then implement RDF later in wotlk more in line with the time it came in originally when it begins to get more difficult to find groups much like it did in tbc. Also be used as a catchup mechanic farming badges from bonus.

Please blizzard.

Eh, not really. The choice between taking a cab and free teleportation isn’t really a choice.

Nearly all of the WoTLK Private Servers run on 3.3.5, and have been up and running for years with a pretty steady player base.

I wonder why?

They are not adding DF because it would decrease lower level Dungeon Boosting. The current meta is to buy gold on 3rd party sites and then dungeon boost. They want to keep that same meta so the Classic Tokens sell. Instead of buying your gold on 3rd party sites to dungeon boost, you will now buy Classic Tokens (for the gold).

My guess is it will be an era type token. Purchase it and then choose which era you want the token (Classic or TBC or WotLK)

WOTLK WOW TOKEN CONFIRMED.

So dumb. Won’t be playing wrath classic then. You had the potential of many months of subs from me gone.

Again, Ion sprinkled his announcement with such buzzwords as: players, and community. I’m glad that some of us aren’t falling in lock-step with this concept.

You don’t have to afk in a city, you always play the game while in Queue. There’s more down time finding/filling a group than Queue for a dungeon.

Not really happy with the removal of dungeon finder. I may unsub because of this, I’m not interested in Dragonflight at all.

SILENCE! Keep your dissenting opinions to yourself, and open your wallet!

They will add dungeon finder and say they are listening lol

I’ll still play the new expansion.

But, for Classic WoTLK, I’ve been holding out on playing Classic Vanilla and TBC for this exact reason.

I just want to queue for dungeons. I’m not 15 anymore. I’m 31, married, with 2 kiddos.

And it’s not like Dungeon Finder didn’t exist in WoTLK. I’m not sure why there are people not wanting it.

It’s a bit of social engineering on WoW’s part. Don’t like something? Tough, CONFORM. Prefer the convenience of Dungeon Finder? Tough, CONFORM (herd cats to get a group together). Don’t want the grief of assembling a group? Tough, join or build a guild.

See all the choices you have? Oh, and they’re meaningful choices, too!
