So it’s no changes, but they make the stupidest change of all. WOTLK dungeons were very easy and perfect for a group finder. They’ve gone out of their way to ensure that nerds min max groups for easy content by removing the dungeon finder.

Blizzard is complete out of touch on this one. In chatting with guildies and others on what we anticipated, two features stood out: Dual-spec and Dungeon Finder…
Some people don’t want the hassle of spamming LFG to find or assemble a group. They just want to queue up for the dungeon they want and quest or do other stuff in the meantime though rarely you would wait very long…
Also, there a many people who have a language barrier and just want to keep the chat to a bare minimum (i’m sure woke Blizzard would understand this).
And for the “sense of community”, isn’t that what GUILDS are for?
And to be honest, LFG just amplifies the boosting phenomenon (which I don’t recall being as widespread and even present back in the days). If you have gold to spare. why go through the hassle of finding/assembling a legit group, especially for a lower level dungeon, when you can have a lvl 70 mage or paladin run you through it? With Dungeon Finder, players will start really enjoying those low level dungeons as they were meant to be enjoyed.

Dungeon finder was a great addition to WOTLK. The server i played on back in the day was a low pop server which made it hard to find dungeon groups when leveling. The dungeon finder fixed that issue as well as allowing you to que for dungeons and quest at the same time. Also farming badges without dungeon finder is going to take a lot longer.

Well to be honest the only reason i started playing classic is retail sucks really bad. The original game and the tbc x-pansion are not bad games but for people like me that are very casual we cant be part of a dedicated dungeon or raid group. The looking for group tool is the only way alot of people will ever see some of the raids or dungeons so your basically crapping on alot of your fan base. If you developers can ever get anything right it would be a miracle of epic proportions that being said thanks for making classic look alot like retail. Keep it up you and the hardcore peeps can shut off the lights and close the door the game is dead.

Honestly, in my brain, the ONLY reason I was looking forward to Wrath Classic, was so I could actually make a character and have the dungeon finder where it would be easier to level and make new friends etc…
Now there isn’t any point to it at all.

Dungeon finder was added in the Icecrown Citadel patch, so it at least makes some sense.
i think its a mistake not to have it

Strongly agreed. It would make more sense to add a single classic wotlk server without it, let it be its own true hardcore wow server, and let LFD be added to the rest as per usual. As someone with a lot of alts, some of which are healers, not having dungeon finder makes leveling far more of a pain, and mostly just doesn’t get done.

I’m amazed nobody said anything about this. I always feel like the problem is the community who act like this, where they’re dependent on other people forming groups. Even with Vanilla Classic being on its hind legs, I still take the initiative to form groups for lower level dungeons. Most of the time, it’s people like this just sitting around and waiting for things to happen. Not realizing that closed mouths don’t get fed.

most ppl have jobs and can only play a few hours a day
so you will have to look for a group (hope its a dung you need) for 30 min (with waiting on ppl to get there)
then you do the dung anther 20 min or so
so in a 2-3 hour span u get maybe 4 dungs a day while other ppl who have no job/life quickly outpace you (in gear)
a few weeks later ur stuck outside the (YOU NEED THIS GEAR SCORE OR NO INVITE) ppl
that was one of the great things about wrath it was casual friendly
we get it u hardcore guys and gals can kill super hardcore but i wanta play too
ok im done venting this is prolly just a done deal…blizz goes down in flames holding on to there …u will like it no matter what ppl say mentality

While I understand this sentiment, even with LFD there’s no guarantee you’ll even get a dungeon. I remember those hour long ques (which is the same time, for me to recruit people, for a dungeon without LFD, mind you), as a DPS for dungeons. Even then, there’s no guarantee they’ll kill all the things you want.
I think what lowered wait times, for LFD, in Retail is level scaling. I don’t even think Duel-Spec (which was around in Wrath) was the reason why que times were shortened. It’s a combination of CRZ & Leveling Scaling that lowered LFD wait times.
This is exactly the point, and the problem. Instead of allowing something fun that doesn’t harm the experience for the chest-thumping elitists who refuse to admit the REAL reason they want LFD removed - being the ability to speed up the process (or even make possible if your classic server died off as fast as mine did in TBCC) to get raid ready gear for badges or , god forbid, compete with them on the meters.
That and one other key thing. It incentivizes that level 70 boost to go into blizzard’s pocket. That’s disgusting and I’m not paying it. Let the other suckers do it I guess. Won’t be me though.

Know what’s more controversial? Boosting. GDKP. Bots. All of those are still present in TBC Classic. Woops.

no full release as it was period and since we getting last patch put it in pre-patch and those who wanna be chuds and spam trade well they can be chuds in their own worthless channel
