They are going to be updating the models. The thing about final fantasy. It was hard to update because it is also for consoles.
Ahh MMO tribalism, it never gets old.
Worried God of war ragnarok will overshadow any wow coverage in Nov
THAT GAME IS A BEAST!!
One of my issues with FF is the art style so a graphical update wont change that much. That said I didnât like WoWs cartoonish style either but it grew on me over time. Long story short Iâm not quite done with MMOâs but Iâm looking for a game that designs content for my playstyleâŚWoW devs are making it more clear every Xpac that WoW is not made for me.
Maybe some day people will realize theyâre allowed to like 2 things and stop limiting themselves
Ya, It grew on me also.
I also feel the same way, FF14 showed me what a MMO can be that respects my time and tells a good story.
I enjoy wow combat, and want more from Blizzard, but if they think that Mythic dungeons and raiding is the only content that matters. They are going to be in a rude awakening. Unless they make the ground work fun, It is not going to end well for them.
I switch off on the two mmos right now, DF is blizzard last chance. I want them to have good raiding content for my husband, and good open world content for me.
Funny thing about thisâŚBlizzard has been actively focusing development to remove this from Raiding, Mythic Plus and Rated PvP. Generally people from those groups have been outspoken about not being forced to do anything outside their preferred play and Blizzard seems to support that⌠but itâs now apparently devalued open world and solo content in Blizzards eyes which is a mistake. Blizzard seems to be dailing back on gearing options for solo/casual players in DF beta not improving it.
I just love how everyone is painting Dragonflight will be like the same as Shadowlands and Battle for Azeroth and Legion with systems and borrowed powers and all the extra stuff well let me tell you this Dragonflight scrapped all of those extra baggage design philosophy and now that they have they have freed up more time to fix the game and turn it back around by going back to the days of Mists of Pandaria.
If they do⌠its a âfor nowâ kinda thing. They always come back lol.
Wow is ALWAYS dying. XYZ mmo is going to be the death of wowâŚ
Yada yada yada⌠people have been saying something is killing wow since vanilla lol.
FF14 it was released almost a decade after WOW after itâs fumbling first try failure. If a video game like FF14 canât beat a product whose technology is 10 years older then it would be pretty sad indeed.
FFXIV wont kill WoW. The only thing that will kill WoW is Blizzard. All my WoW friends tried FFXIV but none of them stuck with it. The combat and dungeons are fun but it has things that WoW players donât like.
âKill wow by Blizzardâ I find that hard to believe since dragonflight is in fact getting rid off the vast majority of those controversial design philosophy that were introduced back in Legion and itâs gonna end with shadowlands.
Doesnât Yaoshi P still play and support WoW and itâs devs? Could have sworn I read that somewhere.
Played ff14. And you spend most of your time not playing, and when you are playing the combat is meh.
I didnât like it at all.
FFXIV is doing its best to try to tank itself right now.
Like people canât play two games at the same time?
For one, WoWâs community forums is great to get reactions out of. Itâs probably one of the most amusing parts about the game as a whole.
XIV is also currently in between major patches. Most of the current content has been completed and players are reaching their goals to take breaks. This is a design choice that the developers even encourage. So, naturally, folks who also play WoW will come back to WoW until XIVâs next major patch releases.
FF14 is more online JRPG than MMORPG.
Itâs too cyclical to ever kill WoW. When WoW isnât killing itself, only the Riot MMO has the potential to (in 5 years.)
i think Star Citizen has more of a chance than riotâs MMO tbh.
People keep talking about games that will kill WoW, but anyone paying attention will know that nothing external will likely kill WoW.
WoW players have proven themselves to be remarkably resilient. No matter what Blizzard does to the game to upset the players, a sizable portion of the community keeps subscribing. Itâs like an addiction I think. People hate play this game a lot, because quitting isnât something people can stomach.
Because our forums donât ban people who bad mouth the game. now THAT we can learn from FF14. Solves alot of perception based issue. Sheep follow the herd.
